is the operation of this company corrupt ?

and if it is, would that be yet another case that proves that UK stock markets allow the operation of corrupt companies

in the past there have been lots, including Globo, Cupid,...

& hence that public investors can be robbed ?

recall the case in recent years of investment bonds sold to the public (~230 million pounds) paying about 8%, but where the advertising agent took 25% of the money received.
yes, of course, it was a ponzi scheme

with the dirs living the high life & lending a lot of the money raised to companies they were personally involved in

of course most of the invested money was lost/vanished

The boss of the UK regulator that was warned about this scam but did nothing ...is now in charge of the Bank of England.
you couldn't make it up !!

Fantastic News from Craven!!!! Pajak is really the UK´s answer to Warren Buffet - an absolutely superb investor! The deal announced by Yrro today is likely to create ENORMOUS value for Craven shareholders………………or not.

Hi baner,

I understand your intense frustration with CRV.

I've been a shareholder for a few years. The move into the web businesses went against the declared deep value philosophy of CRV and came out of the blue, and, what's more, shortly after attracting a very well-known value investor to take a serious stake in the company. CRV also markedly over-paid for the nascent web companies.

I should mention I make my living from value investment and this has been a golden year for asset-based investors like myself. It should have been for CRV too.

But I wasn't sure from your last posting whether you were venting your frustration in general at the directors of CRV - not directly involved in this deal - or whether you had some specific objection to (or information about) this particular deal.

If the hotel is valued realistically on BSP's balance sheet, then this will be a very good deal for CRV's shareholders.

Do you have a specific reason to believe that this is a "clown-deal"?

all best

u r welcome! they have waived all entitlement to a fee so now they must take the NAV from 10 upwards in order to earn one. clearly they seem to have a plan in place convincing enough for new investors to pay 10 for their shares. my impression is they are loading the gun in order to move assets and attention over from africa and similar places, to north america and maybe europe. no doubt this would be positive for investors, allowing us to better understand the potential value, and liquidity, of the assets. to bring new money in at 10 one would assume they have presented a credible plan to invest funds in a way taking the 10 to a higher value soon. why would investors otherwise put new money into the company at this price?

Great volume.

I think this goes to $10+ soon.

A large investor has paid much more than that.

Amber Fortress holding up by around 81,000 shares $364,500 worth

If Platform is a new name of IBS then they have added around 16,000 shares

Vidacos have reduced by circa 78,800

And we have WB as new major investors, the 21st November placing?

Thanks for your feed back of the meeting Karina. What makes you so positive? Their Leader?? The Team?? or the large number of good deals waiting to be done - Do you think that the deals they have had for some time justifies the Bullish enthusiasm

My Pleasure Charlie

Its a combination of known specifics, the general tone of the meeting and a "gut feeing" from what could be said and what couldn't be said. I was impressed with Mark on the whole and there is a real conviction in his desire to take CRV to levels we had not even dreamt of.

1 Up to $150m from a sole investor at 1.25, 11 times the current market cap and agreed when 1.25 was a huge premium. That in itself is enough for me, but there's so much more.

2 Talks with "several" other investors and the fact that the resolutions allow CRV to raise up to circa $650m. I very much get the impression that this is the plan. If we were then to trade at a multiple of assets you could find CRV with a Market Cap of a $billion or more. That would have sounded like a flight of fancy to me a few months/weeks ago....

3 Mark stated that we are the only company he knows of that's not trading on a multiple of its cash/asset position, that should/will change in my view once we leave AIM and the traders behind.

4 CRV will start PR at long, long last and its a story I can see generating huge interest

5 Mr Emmerson from SI Capital was there, and as well as being a very nice chap, he and SI bring a whole new dimension to CRV.

6 Moving off AIM who have scuppered deals for both CRV and SI Capital in the past, to a "proper" market.

7 "Several high net worth individuals" took part in recent placings. They have chosen not to reveal their identities so far.

8 I believe we will see a couple more placings in the next week or two

9 The new investor will no doubt take a place on the board and one assumes that with the amount they can invest it will be a name known to the City.

10 Pressfit is far from dead in the water and should generate long term value

11 I feel that Mr To, our chief strategy officer may well prove pivotal, that's very much just my view, nothing from the meeting to back this up, but its worth taking a look at his history

12 Personnel are already in place in Angola, Argentina and South Africa to manage the proposed investments, that tells me we are very close to deals being announced.

13 If you take a look at SI Capitals July review they state "Incredible times to be investing in markets and I have no doubt the next few months will bring further volatility and opportunity" This was very much Marks take on the opportunities open to CRV to invest when others are running for cover.

14 Our directors do not take salaries and have not sold a single CRV share.

There's probably more but I must stress this is all from my recollection and notes and is therefore my interpretation of events and not attributable to Mark.

This is where I think Mark has played a blinder. In my view all the money that has been agreed to date will come in at 1.25. If that means the final investments are at a discount to the share price at the time there can be no complaints, even if that ends up being hugely discounted. Any subsequent investors may still get a discount on a placing but it would not be at 1.25 that's for sure. The investors coming on board now need to see CRV well over 1.25 for a return and yet you can still buy at a 26% discount to the placing price as our "500k" buyer has clearly noted.

Its a win/win for all who have invested already and those in the process of investing.
