Kie Current market cap 178 million.Kier living to be sold for roughly 148mThe rest of the business is valued at 30 million pounds.

Been a bad day today for many stocks

Construction sector is now starting to get hit just like Retail sector.

BIG debts in both are causing Banks and owners of their debts to reconsider things IMO

Looking unusually perky this morning. Someone has come in for alot of stock straight off the bat with nearly 5m exchanged already. Stands out like a sore thumb for low average daily volume COST.

Boris Johnson reiterated his support for the Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) scheme and said he was committing £9bn - a "serious slug of money" - to the route between Leeds and Manchester which would cut journey times from 50 minutes to less than half an hour.

A reminder that you have to be careful about what you read.
I got an email edition today of Master Investor which had an article on Costain.
I was surprised to read about Costain International activity.
As per the latest AR revenue ex UK and Spain in 2018 was nil and £4m in 2017.

The CEO says...

...We have launched our new 'Leading Edge' strategy which places greater emphasis on leveraging the Group's strong blue-chip client relationships, and reputation for complex programme delivery, through an accelerated deployment of higher margin services...blah blah blah...

I have direct knowledge of one significant 'client relationship'.

My contact says that COST are cutting staff numbers in an attempt to show a profit. This has led to a very stressful and difficult time for all involved. I can't share any detail.

It says to me that either CEO doesn't know what is really happening on the ground or is lying.
