If anyone moves any on it does not have to be to retail investors.

I’ll take notice when they announce another Class 1 US Railroad contract, which has been a carrot dangled in front of investors for too long now. It would disprove my theory that the latest fund raise for developing a new module for the US is a smokescreen to draw attention from the slower than expected progress in the market they said was crucial for driving growth. I’d be happier with jam tomorrow development work if they could get some traction in the US with the products they have. The Amtrak contract was a good gain but it hasn’t been enough to earn a profit.

Excellent stuff. Two new customers. Hopefully, clocktower, investors didn't take your suggestion to take profits last week, or indeed not to buy at the raise price of 6.5p some weeks ago.

Sure it's an estimate, but it's the company's estimate and I'd rather take note of that than your projection.

The forecast could be beat but recent evidence is that they miss forecasts. Look at the trading update of 2nd April. They say they're confident of achieving their revenue target which was £4.7m. They missed it.

Normally when a company puts financial guidance in the public domain they provide an explanation when they come in under. I've known some of the worst dogs on AIM front up to investors when things haven't gone as expected. I've been through Cordel's report and there's nothing on why they failed to meet market expectations. I think they sweep such things under the carpet in the hope that nobody notices.

I doubt if the miss was due to some revenue being pushed back into this financial year because, as I pointed out above, the FY25 target has been cut by a bigger percentage than the FY24 miss.

indalo, I agree Cordel are bullish on the USA pipeline but they were equally bullish way back in June 2021 (see below) and have only added two customers. The CEO is on record saying achievement of revenue targets will be driven by growth in the USA, but the evidence of the last four years shows progress there is much slower than expected. Why didn’t they explain to investors what happened to the important Class 1 Union Pacific contract? I feel they have a tendency to sweep inconvenient truths under the carpet in the hope nobody notices.

RNS 23 June 2021

“ Nick Wayne, Vice President Cordel USA, said:

"We are proud and excited by the achievements of our team to date, with first revenue now being received and a solid opportunity pipeline now in place for the coming financial year. Above all, we have proven that our technology is both applicable to USA conditions and more than competitive in terms of results, speed and cost."

Nick Smith, CEO, Maestrano, said:

"The USA market represents over 38% of global expenditure on rail asset management. It has been a core focus for Cordel over the past year and we have moved from the proving to the early revenue stage. Whilst this has taken longer than expected, we are now positioned for a significant growth opportunity."

PC, that is the view that any investor needs to take, three to five years. The potential is huge and I am sure the directors and certain staff members will be very well rewarded with share options and the real benefits will come when they get to a point that they want to cash those options, which by then I expect will be very generous, so they can enrich themselves and dilute investors that have already been here several years.

Thouraya Walker was appointed May 2023 so only had two months in post reflected in her 2023 directors’ remuneration. Assuming her monthly pay & benefits were £12k per month per the FY23 accounts, then her pro rata for FY24 appears to be down on prior year, even allowing for the sabbatical.

John Davis earned £140k base plus £28k bonus which seems very reasonable for the role and developments achieved during the year.

Of some comfort is that two founders remain major shareholders and don’t appear to be drawing excessive salaries. There is a positive tension there between salary and equity value which should help to protect investors from the potential greed of directors.

All IMHO

Well done columbarius - If I would have pointed that out, srp would have been attacking me for brining it up.

Greed setting in before profits for investors is a AIM issue always.

Thinking it might be useful to create a new thread here given recent developments?

Presently it's not very helpful to any potential new investors passing through and I'm keen to summarise the last few months of key developments in the header, along with the Edison videos, links to broker notes and other info.

Share price moving higher again this morning, was nice to see some chunky buys at 8p in the 11am auction, they've not been filled as there was nothing on the sell side.

If you read the thread in detail, you will know that I have held a view that over a very long period this business has potential, I have never said otherwise.

srp started buying in at under 2p and was the person that alerted me to this stock, along with a former director that was previously the CEO of Lightwave.

We were delighted when it rocketed upwards but around the time I exited from my main trading holding, I stated that I thought it was overvalued, it still went up a little more, and srp was very upset with my comments at that time and ever since, as though they would have any influence on the share price It always amuses me when investors think that any private investor with limited holdings can have any bearing on the share price

If your view is that it is undervalued you should be buying at this level but you said you are waiting, which says to me that you are unsure.

I trade the stock from time to time and have made no secret of the fact but I often keep a handful of small AIM stocks in hand that I follow over very long periods.

Of course I get some trades wrong but luckily this has never been one of those.

I have a dog with DSG and another with TCF and to a lesser extent BEG if you wish to follow those but until recently on the other hand the likes of SRC have been very good to me.

When the time comes that I think there will be decent rewards in a short period of time, I still intend trading this stock.

Good Luck to you regardless of your views about me.

DSG has long term potential as well imo and recently nico115 bought in at 8p with a stake of over 3%

DYOR though, no advice given.
