15/5/2015 12:54 | I wish everybody would stop saying "issues" when they mean "problems". "Issues" is politically-correct scared-to-say-what-w | arf dysg
15/5/2015 11:51 | With regard to several posts recently, in particular statements such as ‘Corac group is establishing itself as a niche manufacturer of high-precision, technically demanding products for two primary end-markets: Aerospace & Defence andEnergy & Process Industries.’ Corac has simply bought other companies already in this field, after running the original Corac, now CET, well and truly into the ground. The current project, Star, has been riddled with issues and will probably suffer long term issues, like every other project has. It ships soon for testing, so we shall see what the outcome is there, I suspect not good, it’s terribly late for delivery as it is. That said, after the serious motor containment issue in which a third party Engineering Specialist was instructed to look into design calculations made by CET, which resulted in heavy gauge steel to be banded around the rotating machinery to protect against fatality due to design flaws, there may be some money to be made from the Spirax licencing. Once Star has been shelved, the final hammer will come as the remaining specialist staff at CET are made redundant leaving only a handful in consultancy positions until they either move on or are too made redundant. | dashcroft70
08/5/2015 09:25 | Without making any political point or making any judgement on the pros and cons of nuclear weapons the fact remains that Trident and and any ongoing submarine programme looks secure as does the income stream for ACI. | pavey ark

05/5/2015 12:21 | fernandesb "I hold Corac shares in a nominee account with TD WATERHOUSE how can I ATTEND THIS AGM?" Beware that bureaucracy takes time, so requesting and receiving the relevant letter is not quick. It's probably a good idea to phone Corac's registrar or NOMAD who'll tell you exactly what you need. You'll need some ID too. | arf dysg
05/5/2015 11:54 | You only need the letter if you want to vote. I hold all my shares in nominee accounts and have never been turned away. cannot vote though. | qackers

05/5/2015 11:21 | You ask TD to send you a letter. saying that.. you hold the shares through them. | alchemy

04/5/2015 08:57 | This latest MOD new is proof,if further proof is needed, that ACI is not only worth more than the entire group put together but I now calculate that it it is worth about THREE TIMES the EV of CRA. | pavey ark
03/5/2015 14:42 | I hold Corac shares in a nominee account with TD WATERHOUSE how can I ATTEND THIS AGM? | fernandesb

15/4/2015 20:42 | It looks like Edison simply projected the profit increase of 11% in ACI through to the next two years but I certainly think it will be better than that. The year end order book was over £14m and the CFO said that £7m was due for this year. Last year the order book stood at £5m and the revenue was over £11m. Although some of these orders are for delivery in more than one year the company does repair and maintenance and this obviously generates a steady cash flow. As well as the year end order book there has been two additional orders in January worth £2.6m in total and they have also delivered a CO2 scrubber unit to Asia (in 2014)for testing from which they expect a follow on order for 4 more ( these things cost about £800k each) This is rather obviously where the £30m valuation comes from. Just to hammer home what I've been saying for the last six months or more ( I tried to show a bit of class and good grace but failed.....sorry about that) | pavey ark
15/4/2015 14:36 | Re gas expansion/generation The CFO was enthusiastic (c. 3.5 minutes into the interview) but the timetable he gave was rather different from that given with the H1 results in September. "-- a gas let down expander is in the build phase at the technology centre, and is expected to be delivered before the end of the year for customer testing." | pavey ark
15/4/2015 14:05 | Some more meat on the bones with regards to this wouldn't do the share price any harm either "A similar project is in progress to generate electricity from reductions in gas power in the main distribution network. There are thousands of pressure reducing stations in the UK, and tens of thousands in the United States, so in those two markets alone there is a major opportunity to generate power at a facility where energy would otherwise have been lost to the environment." | dogboy |
