11/2/2015 23:16 | That comment does nothing whatsoever to explain why (in his current opinion) it's not a good thing that 60% of Corac stock is held by institutional investors??? It's only not a good thing until the_doctor buys back in, it will then become the best thing since sliced bread. | paulgo
11/2/2015 21:22 | 'Around 60% of Coracs stock is owned by 5 institutional investors, ' while sometimes a good thing, it isn't here the insts own so much of Corac because of the successive discounted placings and the illiquidity of the stock They funded Corac through its failure and got stuck with all that stock | the_doctor
11/2/2015 20:43 | Virtually all deals recorded by ADVFN appear to be sales yet the price goes up. Dealers may be stocking up - perhaps the five want to increase their holdings | sheeza
11/2/2015 18:57 | Look what they paid for those holdings compared to what they're worth now - makes the value of their advice and the quality of their decisions clearer, doesn't it? | supernumerary
11/2/2015 18:10 | Yeah but lets be honest, its just spare change to them. They throw some money in on the offchance that its the next big thing. On the plus side tho - we aint at the mercy of bots IOTS DYOR ETC | swiss paul

11/2/2015 11:00 | I would have welcomed Corac to have handed the DGC over to Baker Hughes, to carry on the final development, as there wasn't far to go. Corac could then receive royalties on sales, for licensing the interlectual technology. | bullster
11/2/2015 09:54 | Interesting | timmbo
11/2/2015 08:38 | But has today.... | paulgo
11/2/2015 08:31 | A large trade yesterday, which didn't move the share price. 15:40:04 10-Feb-15........... 3.60p not 4.125p. | bullster
10/2/2015 22:16 | LSE..... The second facility is, Shaw Laser Co, Spring Vale Works, Dale St, Shaw, Oldham, OL2 8RN. Neither have a website and work out of ramshackle buildings but they do have a comprehensive array of machinery and abilities. | bullster
10/2/2015 19:16 | I wouldn't expect too much for £800k and I did say that I thought this fabrication business was to take some of the grunt/low tech work from the other side of the company. The reason I was so pleased by this deal is that it was to me a clear indication that HTT was doing well and could offload work to Shaw to make room for higher value contracts. HTT is a turn around from low value/low margin work and could make a real contribution to profits this year. | pavey ark
10/2/2015 18:51 | Thanks bullster..... apologies for any misleading guesstimates. Do they (the other shaw sheet metal company) have a website or any info about them? | fse
09/2/2015 20:04 | FSE..... Your link is for a company in Rugby. Shaw Sheet Metal operates from two facilities in the Greater Manchester area.(RNS) Thomas Street, Shaw, Oldham. Not far (7.3 miles) from Hunt Thermal Technologies in Dukinfield.(the probable supply link which has put Shaw in the takeover spotlight, imo). | bullster
09/2/2015 18:10 | I am assuming this is the company in question ? edit.... they have ties with the defence industry apparently "Shaw Sheet Metal have been a regular supplier of mechanical piece-parts and sub-assemblies to NP Aerospace since kicking-off their relationship back in 1996. In that time, Shaw and NP Aerospace have worked closely together on many projects – typically of a military or defence related nature." | fse
09/2/2015 14:14 | dogboy..... I have looked back in the posting history and can confirm that you did question the aerospace relevance, please forgive my oversight. A slightly more enlightening statement;- The takeover is expected to generate further business growth for Corac and allow it to open new opportunities for "high-integrity fabricated products" in its other markets, particularly in aerospace and defence sectors, and gain new customers through Shaw's established relationships. from....... | bullster
09/2/2015 13:07 | Bullster,I did mention it last time but received no answer. Would interesting to receive clarification of what it relates to. | dogboy
09/2/2015 12:10 | The Telegraph running the story. | bullster
09/2/2015 11:29 | I can accept that Corac's association with BAE Systems with its submarine building activities, does warrant the mention of (defence), but I do feel that the mention of (Aerospace), a little tenuous at this juncture. Maybe that it's Shaw Sheet Metal that have contracts. | bullster
09/2/2015 10:40 | Just searched last interim statement and could not find one occurrence of the word aerospace. Now its a core industry. Interesting and amazing spot Bullster. | qackers
