Not bad results at all. Share price down is typical profit taking - buy on rumour, sell on fact. Chartwise, 180p area is where I expected price to come down to before rebounding. We are there now which makes a good entry point to top up holdings. Growth story is only just starting. Buy into today's profit taking.

Not bad at all considering the heavy discounts and promotions done by the big supermarkets over the Xmas period.

At 8.1p divi this can get to 250p + pretty easily if the company is still growing too.

Nothing in retail that is growing comes close divi wise

Nice little article in Shares this week. Half year results due on the 20th of Jan, should be positive reading especially after the festive period. Panmure Gordon target price of 220p.

Great growth story unfolding here imo. Small Company Share Watch highlight potential to double in 2 years and it's easy to see why. Closure of poor stores, increasing profit margins (helped by the purchase of Wine Rack) and introducing wines into the existing stores (higher margins on wine), introducing a franchise share incentive plan, rapid growth prospects in the South of England. All this would suggest broker forecasts will be upgraded imo as this unfolds. And a 5% div! What's not to like!

basically Sunday Times tip...

Last year the guy (Ben Marlow) tipped Dunelm as he thoguht consumers would spruce up their homes rather than move due to costs...proved correct dunelm did very well.

He chose Bargain booze on rationale that squeezed consumer will go for friendly bargains, of which CVR does very well.

Mentions CVR move into south and south east and expansion.

Forward PE 14, yield 4.8%. Looks very cheap comped to retail shares which are growing such as Dunelm, Ted Baker which are on 20x+ P/e

nice tip in todays Sunday times....and the tipster has form as his pick was Dunelm last year.

As soon as CVR post some sales growth then this will be off to the races.

expect CVR to be 2 quid plus by March time.
