I am really surprised there is not more apparent interest on the boards for this breakout. The volume in recent days is extraordinary:

An important breakout developing here on high volume the past two days.

Interims out today. No comment from anyone?

Had a quick look through: lots of adjusted figs due to the Matthew Clarke acquisition. Overall results look pretty good imo.

A bottle of Presecco sold every minute, a 300% increase in bottled premium ales and a 218% increase in craft ales.

Hic! :-)

It is starting to look like a tree shake, but it could be to do with the government's new alcohol guidelines - and someone predicting that alcohol consumption patterns will fall. Conjecture only.

Ireland are projecting EPS of 18.3p for next year. So there still seems to be good value here.

Well that's a good start! Way over the proposed 150p placing.

You were right about the placing! 25% up on return to trading. Strange how tiny oil explorers attract huge numbers of enthusiastic bulletin board posters but a good business with experienced and ambitious managers is largely ignored, even when striking "oil" with a transformative deal.

We are holding one of our popular Investor Masterclasses in Manchester so local investors and shareholders in CVR may be interested in attending as CVR is based nearby our venue...

Hi - possibly otherwise the divi looks vulnerable. As £4m was attributed to last years divi payments.

Lets see how the recent acquisitions play out and the JV with Scotmid?

Hopefully these will be earnings improving.

Bought in at 170p ish early last year so may double down at some point if things start improving. Not the best investment approach I know, but only have a small holding here.

Hi MrMark01,

I noticed all the II action (& lots of it of late)...Hendersons/Hargreaves Hale/Miton etc ...some offloading & some stake building.

Net cash: Last Year = £11.9m: This year = £4.2m

Possible rights issue at some point this year??

Contrary to the IC article, Questor in the Daily Torygraph has a fairly dim view

"Conviviality Retail faces supermarket price war:

The high street has been a difficult place to sell booze in the U.K. It was against this backdrop that Conviviality Retail, Owner of Wine Rack and the low-cost off-licence chain Bargain Booze, floated on Aim in July 2013. The company revealed that like-for-like sales rose 1.2% in the two weeks to January 4, less than half the 2.6% like-for-like increase reported during the same period last year. The company reported a £2.7 million pretax profit for the 26 weeks ended October 26. The improvement from the previous year’s £1.1 million pretax loss was largely down to not having a £3 million bill for listing on the London stock market this time round. This performance was achieved during a busy time for the store portfolio. Conviviality purchased 26 Rhythm and Booze shops, largely based in Yorkshire, for £1.7 million in May last year. Conviviality closed underperforming stores and rebranded the remainder, stating that the total number of outlets increased from 595 to 599. Diane Hunter, Chief Executive, said: “Despite closures of underperforming stores in the period and the integration of the Rhythm and Booze units, sales have been maintained and store numbers have started to grow as we open higher quality outlets.” Conviviality has a strong, debt-free balance sheet, with net cash of £4.2 million at the end of October. The company maintained its 2p interim dividend, ex-dividend on January 28 and payable on February 27. That said, Conviviality is operating in a difficult market in which supermarkets are going to be cutting prices throughout the year to try to compete against the discounters. The dividend income is attractive for now but it may come at a price, as the shares look exposed. Conviviality Retail at 133.5p+5.5p Questor Says “Avoid”. "

Best regards,

Blue
