Anyone know why the depreciation charge is so far in excess of capex? Surprised how low capex is bearing in mind the number of plants they have.
If you remove the depreciation charge and just use capex (for cashflow) purposes it does throw off huge dollops of cash.
Second question: How do they handle the huge increases in coal, oil and gas prices. Can they pass it on or do they supply under fixed price contracts. As they have recently upgraded I assume they have flexible pricing contracts.
Thanks.

Oh, well, be nice to get a special divi too! But still in the doldrums as far as the share price is concerned.... yawn.

"(Alliance News) - ContourGlobal PLC on Thursday said it has agreed to sell its hydro-electric generation business in Brazil to Patria Investments for BRL1.73 billion, about USD313 million.

The price tag includes the assumption of debt, so the net proceeds to ContourGlobal will be USD110 million. The company said it will decide whether to return the cash to shareholders or reinvest it once the deal closes, which is expected in the second quarter."

How can the last price quoted here be 183.8 when the low quoted for today's range is 184.4?

Ok I’ve took the bait that’s me a shareholder 3.23p dividend last year and increasing this year every quarter,NOT to be sniffed at. This share reminds of an old one called international power 10 years ago that got goballed up as was to cheap

The price per MW looks ok but the EBITDA return seems on the low side.

Buying such assets seems to currently attract a premium.
