29/1/2014 08:12 | mhin2, Landau is the reason that COOL is where it is, the company bashing on hotcopper always concerned me, certain posters seemed to be being primed with negative info and constantly knocking the share price The convertibles have been a huge weight dragging the BoD into a place of no return. Landau and OKAP were behind this, they then leave, knowing they have the Company by the balls with the remaining loan notes and now deliver the coup de grace. It looks like investors will have a chance to get something back, but the assets, which are good, have been taken from us. It also looks like some creditors don't want anything to do with Landau and hence the $5m bridging loan to pay them off. Trout. | troutisout
29/1/2014 07:18 | OH NOOOOOO its Peter Landau...what credentials does he have...a complete failure ...I would rather COOL goes bust than take his record of underachievement, lies, missed promises and undigestable Hubris than be put through the nausea of his style. | mhin2

21/1/2014 22:43 | I sincerely hope holders get through this with their investments intact. Whatever happens, one has to learn from this situation and use it to your advantage for next time. For the record I lost money investing in cool so I hope no one takes this as a 'I told you so'. I started investing in oct 2012 and following the next 8 months made a lot of mistakes. I am much the better investor/trader for making those mistakes and now trade forex for a living. Keep your chins up folks. Whatever happens, we learn and we move on. | useless23
21/1/2014 21:59 | Their assets are awesome but expensive to operate and the price of coal is pony....I hope it works out here | 6kenny
21/1/2014 21:57 | I will never understand why some on here come on to threads of companies in trouble to say "I told you so" whenn they haven't posted before and they seem to gain pleasure from other peoples pain. Pretty sick really. I happened to have changed my holding to about 20% of what I was originally holding just above 2p so I am not hurting too much right now but I can easily understand why others invested here with the company mentioning their value is "several times" what it was at 3p. But as ever you should never take news at face value in the stock market and scrutinise it. I really do hope that COOL sort it out but the deals won't be as good as it would have been before the cash ran out. Regards to all holders IHNC | ihavenoclue

19/1/2014 11:19 | If the refinancing is successful then they will be able to acquire continuous miners so penumbra would be sorted | c31161
18/1/2014 19:10 | yes cp i dont believe they will walk away they have too much to loose and with dewit who knows :0) | queenwood
18/1/2014 18:37 | Maybe clutching at straws but could it possibly be that VMR are requesting the Independent Fin Advisors' assessment before making a move? They may wish to see how bad things are and need to square up to their own shareholders. Their Due Diligence was a while back now, when Ferreria was still producing and Penumbra was a good prospect whilst we now have reparations to the former and issues (is it producing anything now?) with the latter. So, De Wit and Volk plus what can be salvaged from Penumbra/other prospects is the current asset base. However, the coal is still there! I still find it v difficult to believe they will walk away given their investment, presence on the Board and recent statement. | ceepee01

18/1/2014 09:56 | There's a lot of posters who have sold hoping this goes bust just to feel better about themselves so they can say they did the right thing, this independent financial advisor gives me mixed feelings, who has asked for them, cool or the note holders, surely cool don't need someone to tell them if they are solvent or not, I'm hoping a deal can be done and I don't believe all of this VMR getting first refusal of assets, after all they are only shareholders like us, creditors would come first and just because assets are for sale doesn't mean they are going to go cheap. | c31161
18/1/2014 04:13 | Ramped to death. Rest in peace. | mrmclellan
18/1/2014 02:56 | Pump, dump, suspend, if it survives, rinse and repeat. | mrmclellan
17/1/2014 19:35 | I think even if cool go bust VMR will or might have first refusal on COOL's assets..why would anyone finance COOL when you can pick up their assets for a song and then run the mines more cost effectively? I obviously don't want that to happen buts that's how the biz world turns. | 6kenny
17/1/2014 19:30 | I would like to know what happened to the "binding offers" received by the end of November as advised to the market and the Special Committee that was set up??? Also, VMR's statement re continuing diversification and apparent support to Conti? What do the "large" UK investors think here & what are they going to do next week? Heed - your 110m worth of support you referred to must be a good starting point? C3...very quiet? Is there an outright buyer lurking here???? | ceepee01
17/1/2014 15:39 | Is this your latest suspension while checking financial situation KN? Go on be honest - don't forget we'll have access to all your broking accounts if this ever comes to court.... | britishb
16/1/2014 13:24 | empire i think it would have been written off in the first meeting if no common ground could have been found, so although i also am prepared as you are for the worst, there could be a twist in the tail :0):0) | queenwood |
