21/12/2010 12:37 | 100k buy went through this am at 1.9p, less than £2000 worth and off she goes, probably just due to the fact that there is little stock around since trading on this almost ceased. However, I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of small holders out there waiting for some sort of recovery as a chance to dump their holdings, without any news releases from the company it may not seem worth hanging on to these. | diesel
21/12/2010 07:58 | Morning diesel...wrt the IFM numbers. I'm astonished the share price actually rose. The only reason they showed a £3m+ net profit was because of the 5 films they sold. They still made a £600k operating loss, reduced over the previous year because of the paid off loan (as you say). What they won't have to pay this fn year is the £235k in interest payments which by my reckoning will still leave them at break-even at best at the end of the year, all other things being equal. Then again, maybe I mis-read the numbers ! Merry xmas and a hopefully prosperous new year to you too. That also applies to everyone else. | cardiffian
21/12/2010 07:47 | cardiff..yeah there was a bit of activity yesterday, and the volume was higher than usual. Imust admit to knocking off 15% of the value of the company the other day when the wife closed a nominee account one of the holdings was about £200 worth of CFL! The sock has been very illiquid and litlle volume can make a huge movement either way, lets hope that the tides turning, good to see it didn't get back down to 1p before the this latest activity. I was reading Intandem's results the other day, shows what is possible in this "difficult " market theat CFL keep banging on about. They have managed to pay off their debt, now if we could do that we would be looking at quite a profitable business, the interest payments here are not eating away at the business. all for now, thanks for your news updates, happy xmas/new year and all that. | diesel
21/12/2010 07:37 | well, well, well...looks like the bid at least is going to start the day up. Could it be that our resident seller has finally finished after 2 yrs of constant selling ? Or is there something more interesting developing ? | cardiffian
20/12/2010 20:40 | This is the 3rd article I've read so far today about the autograph signing by Alan Hawco but the first mention of a potential 3rd series of 'Republic of Doyle'. CBC I'm sure, will want to wait to see how series 2 does b4 making an official decision but if the 'planning' is already happening then either the producers are making preparations in the hope of the green light being given which wouldn't seem to make much economic sense or CBC have already unofficially indicated to go ahead prepping in anticipation of the green light being given. What is interesting is this mention of a possible 3rd series is in an article posted on the CBC website. I guess that's what's called reading between the lines, perhaps. IMHO only. | cardiffian
20/12/2010 12:50 | Here are the links from CFL's website for 'Dilbert' and 'New Yorker' respectively with a trailer on each. The third is for 'The RingTales Collection' collectively. I must be seeing things on my screen, are those trades what's known as buys !!! | cardiffian
20/12/2010 12:33 | A new article (today) following on from the previous article I posted (03/12 - post 9793) re RingTales launching 'Dilbert' and 'New Yorker' cartoons via the Nokia Ovi stores. | cardiffian
20/12/2010 05:13 | The following article puts the recent extended 'Riese' deal with Syfy into perspective. ..."UNI's Syfy Universal is available in more than 70 countries with over 50 million subscribers." ... that's some audience ! | cardiffian

18/12/2010 16:09 | A third network's name has appeared on the collinsave site - 'Lifetime Networks', which appears to be a female-orientated channel. I've included the link to the channel as well as the wiki link where it states in a round-about way, the channel is co-owned by NBC Universal (thru it's interest in A&E Television Networks), the Walt Disney Company and the Hearst Corporation. Whatever the production is, it certainly has room for syndication with those big hitters. IMO. | cardiffian

16/12/2010 19:33 | Clearly NBC were impressed by the numbers 'Riese' obtained via Syfy (US) to decide to roll it out worldwide. As the news comes from c21media, you have to sew the following 2 snippets together... Syfy sites follow US with Riese C21Media - ý6 hours agoý Fireworks International, the television and digital distribution arm of UK-based ContentFilm also sold Riese to Australian pubcaster ABC at Mipcom. ... and Syfy sites follow US with Riese 16 Dec 2010 Universal Networks International has acquired web drama Riese: Kingdom Falling for its worldwide channel websites following its debut in the US via Syfy.com. | cardiffian

07/12/2010 19:53 | Perhaps that's what's been missing from the thread...a bit of humour. Well done zeppo, your post put a wry smile on my face. Mind you, I don't think I have any of the above mentioned skill-requirements so I should probably fit in even better ! | cardiffian
07/12/2010 13:23 | Possesses a law degree or solid experience of TV/Film contract management; Thorough understanding of all TV, new media and digital rights; Previous experience of rights management systems within a TV distribution company; Strong administrative and organisation capabilities; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of Excel; Ability to use initiative, prioritise competing workloads and work independently; Attention to detail is essential; Good team spirit with a general willingness to get involved; Adaptable and flexible approach. The first three attributes needed are missing from my CV otherwise I would be ideal for the job. Must get back to the shelf stacking. Perhaps I can do a Law degree by post? I do have 'digital rights' over our remote control - or at least when my wife lets me. z | zeppo

05/12/2010 13:41 | Mondo Media's 'Happy Tree Friends' stays at No. 5 in October in Visible Measures Chart of the most watched web series. 'The Annoying Orange' which sits at No. 1 was brought to my attention by my nephew a couple of months ago. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's very well done and quite funny. Nothing to do with us of course, just thought I'd mention it. | cardiffian |
