sagansky, one of the architects of the cfl downfall with the peace arch debacle, sells another 3m, and now has circa 8m shares or 4.5%.

be nice if another rns came out indicating who had bought them. 3m is about 1.6% or so, so no rns needs be issued unless it has taken the holder over 3%, or, drumroll..... its a director or management buy. I really must go and lie down in a dark corner !

surprisingly enough, none of the new year tipsters went for the obvious cmcp choise. unless, of course, they are all secretly squirreling away millions of them before releasing the exciting news to the waiting readership..

and no rns's from the directors who are so keen to buy in size (agm sep 2010).

p.s. happy new year to shareholders, and hopefully we can have a year where the shareprice ends up higher at the end of the year than the beginning. It cant fall *much* further. can it.... ???

pimp...they're not interested....you only have to look at the job titles to see how up themselves they are. The revenues are not too disimilar to the dept I ran for a multinational, and yet this lot are all presidents, vice presidents etc, in otherwords salesmen/women....what tosh!

This is what you get with AIM stocks. Management free to do whatever they feel like. I am surprised we have not been taken over at this price - even with the debt mountain. You look at some companies and see management bend over backwards to support the share price yet here the mangement fail to see value in that. On certain levels it highlights gross incompetence and ultimately will need to be addressed unless we hit 0.1 p. Yes hinddight is wonderful. I suspect they would have no shareholders if we had known how they would treat shareholders. We are all unfortunately locked in as selling at this level for most of us is just not worth it. I certainly wont be adding until i see a change in the directors behaviour to shareholders. Ultimately they too will be out of a comfortable job if this company fails.

If you look back I was saying years ago that the management were running this company for their own benefit - getting inflated salaries and the high life - just wish I had sold instead of just whinging - I have lost many thousands on these.

Just do not understand how people running a company with shareholders can get away with it !!

34, you've hit the nail on the head, the management are not interested in sp, they talk about shareholder value but that's just standard pr. The management get well paid for running this operation whether it makes a profit or loss. The revaluing of the options says it all, it's a one way bet.

It was not what i was trying to ask ftt, it was the fact that he was not interested in me and just walked away as i tried to ask some questions.

He had no idea i would take some 25% of the value of his company by his
contempt not that i think they are bothered by the shareprice, what difference
to them is 1p from 0.75p !

34Simon,

can i ask what questions you asked.

I was there the year before - you can see from my agm report many posts above - and while i was not happy (mostly bought at 3p and not sold enough at 16-25p) and trust the management as far as i can throw them, i was never ignored (possibly because i was the only shareholder there !).

Can you expand more on what you know ?

thanks

I sold my stock gradually after the Agm.

What i did not mention to protect my position is the way i was fobbed off by management, when i asked questions the Ceo just smiled and walked away, i was
furious and started selling the following week.

I've just read the Daily Mail, that will explain the rise today, some very
badly reported news on their results failing to mention the huge debt and convertable debt mountain this company has.

If i had not attended the Agm i would still be holding, so glad i did, it shows what info you can glean when you attend these meetings.

It's positive that turnover is increasing.I would have liked to see the PBT figure grow comensurately. What seemed to have happened is Collins Avenue has contributed substantially to turnover but not to profits. This is frighteningly like the old Allumination operation. As a TV,Film and Digital distribution co.,what is the advantage of co-owning a reality TV production co? I presume it's to 'get in' on the ground floor, but is there a less expensive way to go about it?Likewise I remain to be convinced of the need to run Spirit Digital,a digital production co. Also,I seem to remember a push to promote children's programming,an update would be nice. All in all,I'm happy enough with the interims, but it's a qualified kind of happiness.
May I wish all holders a happy Christmas and a peaceful, prosperous New Year.

the loan they have has moved from fixed rate to variable (spot) that means they will now be paying back less in interest, as for the revolving loan I dont see any problem with them renewing. As for the results in general, much as expected, the film business continues to decline, I know they will say that it's down to unfavourable market conditions but other companies in this arena seem to do ok. I'll continue to hold a small amount as the value doesn't warrant selling but although I believe we have now reached a floor, I'm not expecting much of a recovery...

the 45m usd revolving loan comes up for repayment/renewal in 2013. That is the big gorilla sitting in the corner. if the loan is rolled over for another 5 years, and debt reduction contines as it now, then as time goes by CMCP becomes more valuable.

If, however, the loan cannot be rolled over, or no one else is prepared to take it on, then the company is probably toast. forced/fire sales would reduce the realisable value of the library considerably.

What they need to do is try and sell off some assets to pay down this debt. At the rate they are going it will take 15 years on their current course. Lets hope they can pull something out the bag .

Debt reduced by 1.1 which strangely enough is the current Market value of the whole company

Assuming all trades today subsequent to the initial sale of 1.25m were buys, it looks like Mr Market took advantage of the cheap prices and bought more shares than were sold. (1.25m sells v 1.715 buys (assuming 0.615p is a buy price))

Usually though when the market maker has got rid of the big load of shares he has purchased from the market he raises his price again - to indicate that the shares have all now been taken.

The last trade was for 1m shares recorded at 16.29.52 - ie 8 secs before the close. This proximity to the close maybe explains why the share price didn't respond to the buys? I guess we'll find out on Monday morning. Either way we could certainly do with the interim results being published. They were 2nd Dec last year and 23rd Dec in 2009 & 2008.

1.25m sold at 1/2p. A wapping 6,125 pounds.

Imagine that our directors who have said they would like to buy in size, but cant, must be chomping at the bit. Pity its a closed period until they release the results on friday afternoon.

I reckon we've all gone into some sort of hibernation wrt CMCP, however I suppose the interims, having missed last year's Dec 2 date, will be released on the more regular Dec 23. In the meantime, having just done a little google search, came across this article about "Thorne". I haven't kept my records up to date recently so I'm not sure how many of the apparent 145 territories "Thorne" has been licenced to, are down to the CMCP team but 145 sounds almost global I'd say.
