14/9/2018 09:03 | That would have depended on other people's nerve though too. A hard call, I prefer to invest in businesses not in popularity contests, just cos I am better at that (slightly) | edmundshaw
14/9/2018 09:01 | Edmund, it looks like you were correct; it's a pity that I didn't have the nerve to take advantage. I could have made money by now. | this_is_me
14/9/2018 08:30 | Exactly. A lot of one-offs is not nice but not a major long-term issue. The new management though will be the decider. | edmundshaw
14/9/2018 08:08 | As long as it is not going to go bust there is going to be value at some level. The question is at what level. | this_is_me
14/9/2018 08:04 | Oh good, another buying opportunity! :-( | edmundshaw
14/9/2018 07:59 | Yes the new boy has put all the dirty dishes in the kitchen sink; at least we are now fairly sure that nothing nasty is hiding in the closet. | this_is_me
14/9/2018 07:45 | with magazine sales weakening a little further in the final quarter. Who goes to a shop to buy a magazine now, considering the price, take the ic for example nearly £5. Most magazines if you buy them off the shelf £4 or £5. Can only see the market getting worse for them. | 2breakout
14/9/2018 07:39 | Right now he has to transform a cowpat with a newspaper sticking out of it | danieldruff2
14/9/2018 07:26 | The new man no doubt wants everything out in the open so he starts from a clean slate and can go onto to show what an amazing transformation he has made. | plasybryn
14/9/2018 07:23 | Back to the twenties! | owenga
14/9/2018 07:23 | Looks like share price will plummet again after that announcement. Not a single ray of sunshine on the horizon. | owenga
06/9/2018 16:13 | The share price fell to 26p in mid August which is exactly a 50% drop from the 52p in June when the 2nd profit warning was announced. Probably well oversold now. Also, current buyers of the stock are probably being attracted to the dividend going forward. Despite a huge cut it may still be 2p to 3p per year. The share price is getting to a fairer price but it will be interesting what happens around 39p which is 50% retracement from the lows. | wacker101
06/9/2018 15:09 | So why the sudden rise ? | colonel a
06/9/2018 14:40 | Let's not forget that the new CEO will be studiously lining up the kitchen sinks ready for the Final Results due at the end of Oct. The big question is whether he is able to come up with & implement a strategy that will draw a line under the failure of the previous CEO's diversification strategy of recent years, stabilise the ship and turn performance/sentimen | speedsgh
06/9/2018 14:00 | Would expect to see some news with such a significant jump. Year end was Aug 31st, perhaps some better numbers have leaked out - wishful thinking ... | colonel a
06/9/2018 10:38 | No- but perhaps people are focussing on still strong cashflows from the base business and v low rating. | 18bt
06/9/2018 09:16 | I was just going to ask if anyone knew anything about this 25% rise. | nicholasblake
05/9/2018 12:01 | That's a big hike on no news. The new boss started this week, perhaps {hopefully} he is making a serious commitment. Certainly the volumes modest enough for this to be the case. | colonel a
05/9/2018 11:26 | Some recent strength here | 18bt
22/8/2018 15:03 | Holding(s) in Company 22 August 2018 From RNS Number 5952Y, Nortrust Nominees Ltd have increased holding from previous notification of 12.74% to 13.05% | turbocharge
18/8/2018 12:04 | They have actually reprinted the July edition of Get Connected identical to the original edition except with a new lead article replacing the previous one trumpeting the appointment of Carl Moore. I would love to know what happened. | chickenvindaloo
17/8/2018 13:23 | Thanks: I knew it was soon but the sooner the better. Am hoping that it will recover from here but am wary of him kitchen-sinking at the November results. This bloke can make quite a name for himself if he manages to turn the group around. | mitch74
17/8/2018 12:48 | And our new CEO joins 1st Sept. I believe. Probably will start to recover from here at least thats what I'm hoping. | plasybryn
17/8/2018 11:45 | Great spot cw2000. Just read about this at hxxps://www.betterre So there is one issue down and presumably money saved on shutting those operations: that is clearly a positive. I am having to suppress my enthusiasm with CNCT at the current share price TBH. | mitch74 |
