A couple of buys just gone through at full ask of 48p as the volume reaches 150000 from 17 trades. In the background gold continues to rise and currently is 1841.50.
Some news please this week so you will have something new to say at the next presentation.

Also today: io Tinto is facing an escalation of its problems in Mongolia, where the government has threatened to halt development of its huge underground copper deposit

Economist piece today. Concluding paragraph: „at brings us to the wider lesson. The view of central bankers is that today's supply shortages are likely to be temporary and inflation will prove transient. Recent history is on their side. Supply shocks have generally washed out of inflation quickly. If this time proves to be different, it will be because of a peculiar clash. Habits of capital discipline formed in the previous, slow-growth business cycle are not obviously well suited to an economy running hot. As the cycle unfolds, copper prices will signify just how smoothly supply is responding to demand. Dr Copper's most important diagnosis may yet lie ahead"

book5 - I accept that you may be correct. I have the patience to allow the situation to play out - ten years' worth of patience and counting, actually :-)

book5 - Mark Child and other members of the Board of CNR have a lot of skin in this game, so we should trust them to know what they are doing and that they are acting in the best interests of shareholders. If the day comes when I lose that trust, I shall sell immediately.

finally my reasoning finds a larger audience:

that describes exacty my rationale why I am investing in gold, ans especially in gold explorers/miners in development countries.
Imagine how rich Nicaragua could get once the rerating of gold is happening

My bet is the market is concerned, and an extension will lift the share price We need it as the elections are in November
very happy to be proven wrong

Book, it seems to me you are overthinking things. Just leave it to the company. Mark has stated he has had direct discussions with the ministry of energy and mines. It'll be sorted when it needs to be sorted.

There are not negotiations, miners dont seem to care if they do not sell. We cant mine la India without their land.
IMHO we are getting more resources to offer the miners what they want: La Mestiza (or part of it) or similar land.
Government is very quiet, and this concerns me bcs I dont really know why they are quiet...no explanation is given to us, it is for the elections, it is for governance (we cant bribe them and they are expecting it), or it is bcs they want the mine for themselves?
Having an extension to our permit would remove my most darkest concern.

If what you say is accurate and there is a selling price from the miners to CNR then Mark knows he can resolve the land issue simply by paying their price. The current position is Mark doesn’t agree with their price. As he doesn’t actually need the land at the moment he is continuing to negotiate a more reasonable price. I don’t know why people on this board keep going on about the land issue which is not helping the negotiations by providing ammunition to the sellers. Mark is not concerned and nor should shareholder’s. Mark has more to lose than any of us. Let him do his job without continual pointless moaning.

Goverment is afraid of lossing the elections, and may actualy loose them. In which case We will need an orderly transition

There are not offers from CNR to the cooperative, however there is a selling price from the miners to CNR.
In regards goverment support ,or opposition, show me the conclusion of the two previous milestones I pointed out.

We are fully aware of what is required but Mark says it is not an issue in the sense that he is sure it will be resolved.

Book you say Permit extension. Take it your contact believes the remaining landowners are not willing to accept the current offers.

Of course it is an issue it is a condition of the Environment Permit. The clock is ticking. The remaining landowners know it. So does the board and going by the stagnant share price, so does the market. It needs concluding before time runs out.

It needs confirmation of purchase or that legal agreements are in place for the land required, via an RNS, or there needs to be confirmation of an extension to the Environment Permit (which the market/shareholders may not take well)

It is in their previous RNS announcements.

Under the terms of the Environment Permit, the Company has to purchase or have legal agreements in place for the land required for the mine site infrastructure. Offers have been made to all land owners. The Company has now purchased 95% of the land in and around the permitted La India open pit mine site area, thereby getting close to completing one of the main conditions of the Environmental Permit and significantly de-risking the Project.

I am sure Mark has said the Government fully supports the project so not sure where your comment that they will show government does not oppose us comes from.

Imho
The land is the main issue,
Engineering studies around the water the second one.
We are going ahead with things to avoid losing the license.
Once mill starts arriving on site, and the permit extension is granted, I will be more relax, why ? They will show goverment does not oppose us. These couple of milestones should push the share price above 50.

It is an issue in my opinion. It is not an issue when 100% is owned. We will see the truth in that when they secure ownership and the share price consequently pops.

I think you know full well why he can’t put that in an RNS but that buying the equipment and delivering it to site demonstrates it’s not an issue.

Yeah but him saying it is not an issue is not the same as an RNS confirming it's not an issue.

Exactly, why would you go and spend $6.5m if you thought there would be an issue getting the last few percent.

The fact that the plant is on its way rather supports Mark’s regular statement that the land is not an issue.
