Do you own any shares in companies the detailed intricacy of whose operations you are not familiar with?

Anyone familiar with mining projects and shares knows what the term 'derisking' means.

Well, yes. Obviously. As with any project. But that they felt the need to headline with that, but then not mention it in the text, seems odd. Especially given that most people already thought we were on the threshold of significant gold regardless.

It's a bit like someone shouting "don't panic" which is normally a good time to start to panic.

Essentially anything that needs to be achieved prior to commencing production is a risk to the project until it is achieved. Hence every time you complete a task or get closer to completing it you are de risking the project.

Can anyone explain what the 'risk' was that has now been 'de-risked' ?

Surprisingly low volume today after RNS. I guess this just confirms that there was no new information apart from the 85% land purchase. For me, I was gratified to hear that there are no plans to sell (as if he would be able to tell us...) and production is the goal. I am fairly new to the share but MC comes across as a safe pair of hands.

Please stop this "XYZ is coming soon" talks w/ regard to RNS, takeovers and so forth. This just attracts traders which I personally do not want.
Mark set out perfectly what are the next steps, he reconfirmed again that we will not be sold but go to production and that by next year we have some siginficant progress.
CNR is one of the few explorers that are not out there for the quick share price fireworks but forbsustainable growth. Lets just see further next year (and not next week) and let Mark do his job. I dont want him to spend time on useless PR stunts.

Condor has got to be on the radar of the gold majors not least Rio. Mark’s RNS keeps them up to speed with official information clearly setting out progress to date and where it’s going. If anyone is thinking of waiting because production is still some months away they should not forget that toll mining is still a very real possibility but the big one is the imminent possibility of a bid or bids. Look at the rise in value GGP which is nowhere near production but is exploring and discovering. Condor has already done that and can do more with virtual certainty of going over 5 million ozs.
We were not expecting an RNS today and it didn’t give us anything major that we didn’t already know or had a pretty good idea about. It has led to a 5% rise on volume of 40000 so it has not sparked much interest.
Mark is moving at pace and doesn’t do anything without good reason. I suspect something else is coming and the reason for releasing this now will emerge soon. In any event it’s good publicity.

A good RNS following the recent presentation setting out clearly the rapid progress towards production that has been achieved. This is not just for the benefit of shareholders but for the gold market generally. Mark has made it clear that we are going for production ASAP. He has said we don’t need a JV Partner and he is not looking for an offer. That is what you would expect him to say even if he were. However every step towards production that Condor achieves makes an offer ever more likely. People considering investing should bear in mind that an offer could come in at any time. If that happens, and there is a lot of activity in the gold market, the share price will move a lot higher in minutes as any offer or offers will be in £’s not pence.

Good rns
Regarding land purchares:
- all true. Coincides with info I am getting from locals, now largest land owners left to sell, negotiating meetings are ongoing.
- nicaraguan mining law says that, if offer for land is fair, then the land owners have to sell their right to use the land to Cnr during duration of the mining activities.
-key rns wording is, Cnr has made offers for all the land, I presume that they are fair offers, or close enough.

Above 55 it comes

Still got to get the balance 15% of land - Could this 15% or even less block the whole project? No mention that I can see in the rns as to what they can do if the remaining holders or even one of them refuse to sell.

We seem to be holding up quite well despite others falling and POG falling too. We said it was going to happen, a correction. Vaneck still predict $3400+ POG which is great to hear. I feel this correction has just meant it has presented a great 10% discount and another buying opportunity for anyone who is interested in us, but also LTH and anyone else for that matter. The early fall has now been largely recovered after 37 trades and a volume of 300000. Now just 1% down at 50.5p.

RNS 1
Interims on Friday with generic updates like land acquisition....this one is a dead cert!

RNS 2
I believe there will be a toll deal with Calibre (provided Calibre are not over greedy).

RNS 2.5
Site clearance works commence at Mestiza.

RNS 3
Contract signed for purchase of s/h mill probably coming from out of country.

RNS 4
Capital raise (my guess would be mainly the TSX despite his comments about AIM liquidity).

Timeframe - before y/e.
It'll be interesting to see how accurate my guesswork is.

Oh and an RNS to say 100% of land acquired at some point soonish.

I thought it was a really good presentation , very upbeat , and , although there is no toll deal with Calibre Mining as yet , there is a huge confidence in the overall outcome for the La India project per se .

Herewith is what I thought was new news -

1) Condor is hoping to rap up the freehold land buying ASAP in order to make the whole project oven ready by end 2020 .

2) The engineering , processing , and tailings studies are 40% complete , and will be finished by end 2020 .

3) Toll milling with Calibre Mining is still an option , and conversations are “ live “ .

4) Condor has US$10m in the bank , and sees no requirement for a joint venture partner .

5) Condor's offer on a second-hand processing plant has been accepted , and contract negotiations are ongoing , but Condor still has options to buy a brand new plant from China .

6) Condor’s favoured path to production remains a 1000 tonnes per day plant costing , say , US$50m , high grade mining with a quick payback , and thence modular expansion of the plant .

7) Plant financing will be a combination of bank debt , gold loan and equity with the aim of minimal dilution to existing shareholders .

8) Use of the TSX listing , particularly for retail investor funding , is likely to be strongly considered .

9) Condor is not looking to sell the project , it is looking to bring the project to production .

9) Condor’s initial nameplate capacity will be 120/- oz pa , up from 80/- oz pa , and at AISC of US$700 per oz , to which their eventual intention is to add 50/- oz pa from underground operations .

10) There is still huge confidence that the La India project , which is 5% of Condor’s total land concession , can host a district scale resource of over 5m oz .

Mark Child's final words were " it's all coming together on the ground " .

Down 7.27% on a day Gold has fallen $90 on volume of 1 million 137 trades with more sells than buys but not by a great margin. The presentation and talk has been taking place so let’s see if that provides a boost tomorrow to get us back towards 60p
