After today's statement, it confirms perhaps everyone's feeling who is in this stock... its a really nice share to have in the portfolio. No real surprises, except pleasant ones. General market movements aside, this could hit 250p sometime before next summer.

Should be an announcement tomorrow on how the first half has gone and outlook for next six months. Anyone got any thoughts on what might be announced?

Spread (on advfn) is 163 to 170p. Usually it is only a 5p spread. Perhaps it may be easier than usual to buy 2p under the declared spread at around 168p.

The dangers of a general market correction appear to be receeding... (famous last words?) If that is the case then I doubt if the Computerland UK share price can stay down at this level for too long.

Can now buy at 170p.

This financial year will see £2m revenue from the 5 year contract with O2 (£3m in succeeding years). The British Sugar contract will hopefully be announced in Oct/early Nov. Other new contracts are with Comet and Focus DIY. Should see yet another year of revenue growth and profit growth. The dividend now gives a 4.1% yield, assuming 7p for next year.

Not really. They talk about £9m cash but when you look back at the the results you see Creditors due within one year £14.694m, Net Current Assets £3.702m, and Net Assets £5.891m. And they keep giving themelves options.

Now at 172p to buy. Hopefully it drops a bit further to create a super buying opportunity. Agree?

Can buy now at 175p, if next year's dividend is 7p then this gives a yield of 4%.

The only caution to the above post is that some prominent chartists are predicting another FTSE plunge within the next month so you might be able to pick up CPU shares even cheaper than the current 187p sometime soon.

Robbie,

Is it worth picking up any before the AGM? Well, possibly: with a dividend of 8p likely next year the yield at this price (180p) is around 4.45%. (This year's dividend was 6p, next year's might be anywhere above 7p (4%).) There might be another 20p special dividend coming sometime but don't count on it.

If you are a UK citizen then if you hold the shares for 2 years they need not be included in your estate when calculating Inheritance Tax (as long as they do not get a main listing... but why should they? they don't need to raise funds, which is maybe the main reason for a company transferring out of AIM to the main listing).

New contracts with O2, Comet and Focus will not only bring in extra earnings but is free advertising and will raise the company profile.

Does that sound any good to you?

Add to that:-
1. the feeling the company likes to surprise on the upside...and
2. this is not a "Jam Tomorrow" company, it is delivering increasing eps and positive cash flow right now.
3. Oops, I forgot to mention the several million cash in the bank, £7m to £8m which is worth 70-80p per share.

Is the AGM on Monday or Tuesday? Hopefully, good newsflow like the above and we should see a nice rise in the share price. Does anyone think it is worth picking any up before the AGM?

I have been on a certain website and it would appear the it is to do with the ex div date so the RNS was wrong

As I said before, the RNS with the prelim results say the ex div date is the 28th. This is the second major drop, on very small volumes.

Are we going to see another drop on Friday?

I don't know of any reason why there should be such a drop. Update was good and broker's forecasts impressive. Could the date have been brought forward?
