'Software group Comino advanced 13p to 227p following good results and a bullish accompanying statementabout prospects. KBC Peel Hunt's target price is 280p. It says Comino continues to trade at an unwarranted significant discount to its nearest peer group.'

The steady and reliable growth prospects, low PE ratio, cash in the bank and takeover possibilities make these a buy not a hold or sell, worrier.

Profit up 42% with a profit margin of 80%. This company is going to do well for shareholders by remaining independent.

LONDON (AFX) - Comino Group PLC, a provider of service delivery solutions
for Local Government, Social Housing and Occupational Pensions, said discussions
it had been carrying out after receiving a possible bid approach in September
have now been terminated.
The company also revealed its first half results today which showed an
increase in underlying profits and a rise in the interim dividend to 2.5 pence
from 2.2 pence a year earlier.
In his chairman's report, David Quysner said the outlook is encouraging. He
said Local Government market continues to provide opportunities for growth and
Social Housing is benefiting from a new approach that emphasises the service
delivery aspects of the product.
"Comino remains well placed to take advantage of these major opportunities."
The profit before tax, goodwill and exceptionals in the first half was up 42
pct to 1.14 mln stg from 804,000 stg on turnover up 8 pct to 12.2 mln stg from
11.3 mln.
Pretax profit after goodwill and exceptional items was 560,000 stg, down
from 603,000 stg.
The exceptional item of 407,000 stg represented the net cost to the company
of litigation which is now fully resolved.
Gross profit margin maintained at 80 pct.
