Look at this way, that seller gave plenty of chances ( to those who complained about MJ raise discount at that time ) to buy way below his purchase price in the raise . Whilst I ran out of money to top up at prices 2.62 as I purchased right down when 3.2 was level was hit ( not believing it would go too much lower at that time ) I'm still very happy with my buys because as at one stage and I never thought we would drop below the 5 Schroders and placing entry prices . I bought many at 5 and in the OO but bought over double my holding in the mid 4's then lots more in the 3's. My average is still much higher though, 7.8 cash far far higher for sipp , but I believe we will reach and surpass 7.8 over the next 12 months . Minimum 9p year end but as much as 15p possible by year end and even that might be a conservative viewpoint by some. All in all, a good vibe returning here, sentiment returning and any good news of M&A will propel us.Here are just a few I have noticed ticketing of late by up to 100% or more MATD recent low 1.6 now 3.4PVR low 9 now nearly 14 SOU recent 11p now 33 p 200%To nameBut a few .We willGoing them too.I mentioned recently I can see 6 p being hit over the next 3 months . I stick with that too.

TLM,

Of course, even one field at 1,500bopd with appraisal, PUD reseves, behind pipe etc, or even just workover potential would be high impact to CERP. $100m deal and that's what LK also said would bring material production and reserves from SA. The two that would spring to mind for onshore are Colombia or Argie. Argie isn't in CERP's geographical bubble. Suriname is just really the national oil company (with several large heavy oil fields onshore) and offshore (not CERP strategy to go offshore). Vene is in meltdown so off limits. Brazil doesn't get a mention but there's likely to be a few mature fields onshore there that have potential. Guyana its mainly offshore too. So choices are limited country wise, I don't think he'd go as far south as Peru or Ecuador and Bolivia is similar to Vene.

Well take SQZ as an example of LK's growth model. SQZ had small Indonesian production and a few stranded fields in the NS. They had cash though and they managed to pick up Erskine from BP. Non core to them, by the time the transaction completed it had paid for itself from production. That then allowed them to buy the next set of non-core fields also from BP. BP still covers the decomm costs on these fields. Incidentally SQZ's cap was around £20m before they started the ball rolling with Erskine. I'm expecting a similar snowball effect here. However we've also SWP that'll come along too.

Regards,
Ed.

pr,

Don't know if they are sales @ 100000 as even now a sale at 100000 is offered at .3011 which is lower than .3050 so I think they are buys at an agreed rate earlier. Might be wrong of course.

"And still the massive sales role in but this time with the difference the share price seems to be stronger and rising."

To me, that looked like a seller's rump clearing through. If so, that often signals the start of a good rise in the share price

Ed,

And one thing I would always remember is that although as you say above (small fruit for the big boys), collectively those mature intermediates add up financially right? And from an asset based view collectively they also look very promising for various options, just need to proof the bopd potential and bingo..

TLM,

Well there are several, I got the impression that the one with the national oil co is the smaller one and the material deal is likely to be Colombia. However Suriname I'd expect to be transformative too, just it'll be heavier oil and likely cheaper than Colombian intermediate. Shell as one example are likely to have lots of old non-core mature intermediate oil fields in Colombia that little CERP could turn around, maybe 2-3000bopd a pop. They'd be of little interest to the big fellas these days but ripe for LK and team. So yeah exciting times ahead, be interesting to see which colour LK lands next.

Ed.

Hi Ed,

Totally agreed and how many other colours are there to choose from going forward? Could be really exciting and if you remember the meeting that John attended LK did suggest that they were very close to something and he was drawn back by the finance guy as though he was saying, hey were not there yet! Well if I remember correctly that was back in October and a lot can happen in a couple of months of discussions.

Either way, I agree with you and can't wait....

Kazz,

He said "I would be buying", perhaps you have a different interpretation than I have. It was said jokingly due to the low share price comments for sure, but it is what it is.

TLM,

Yes I suspect H1 is going to be the most significant in the history of LGO/CERP. It'll be interesting to see if he can get one or more of these SA deals over the line in the very near term and finalise on these firm proposals. We've still Green, white and gold still to hear about. :) Diversifying into SA would be a game changer.

Regards,
Ed.

There Is Still Room To Run For Oil Prices
...
For now, WTI is trading just above $51 per barrel and Brent at $61. Analysts are not suggesting a return of last year’s price levels, but the consensus seems to be that the late-December plunge went too far. “We think the rally in oil prices has further to run in Q1,” Standard Chartered wrote in a note on January 10.

Hi Ed,

I think it's all going to come much quicker than most think, not putting on any expectation but my reading of it is that you are right and also the team are rocking, lining up all the ducks, it wouldn't surprise me if we see a constant curve up over the next 8 weeks. For sure we'll see some days down but the sentiment has totally changed with the people I speak to about the company. Looking good in my view, and for the FT not to disregard the VSA prediction/SP aim of 21.4 tells me they certainly don't think it's impossible. From my experience the FT are very quick to condemn high price guestimations but in this instance they haven't. All they reiterated was that the prediction of 21.4 was only from one advisor, at the same time as marking it up to a + buy (don't forget the client market they serve),so again looking good.

Got a few more this morning and will keep topping up as they move up.

Good luck one and all.

TLM,

Good man, LK did say he "would be buying" at the end of the recent interview, I guess if he weren't in a closed period he could have been. But as the SA deals are now firm proposals and they're in detailed discussions they're hoping to close in the not too distant future he won't be allowed to. The two main events of SA acquisition and SWP drilling are getting ever closer. He did get an amazing price for those PDP reserves from Steeldrum, not much more than $1/bbl. So he can work a good deal, really looking forward to seeing the details of the first SA acquisition.

Regards,
Ed.
