09/1/2019 09:44 | Offer, My personal preference would be sign off on one of these proposals in SA, use the cash flow from the increased production to drill SWP, one of the cheaper smaller target to begin with i.e. $2.2m rather than $4m. If that comes in then drill the deeper huge targets later in the year, perhaps Q3. Imo the deals likely in Colombia/Suriname or elsewhere are likely mature fields with production and reserves funded via a mix of equity and debt. CERP have around 17mmbbls of 2P and pretty much no debt. A bit of leverage on that to double or more 2P would be a big + in my book, especially if its Colombian intermediate. If its Suriname heavy oil it could treble our reserves or more, the heavy stuff in SA is relatively cheap to acquire, but we'll see the terms if any of these firm proposals are accepted. 09/1/2019 09:35 | Personally I think the plan should be to find out get a free carriage drill on the first SWP and maybe some cash in the bank from that deal as well. By doing it that way it will lessen the exposure just in case the well is a duster because we can't be 100% sure even though the COS are pretty decent you can never be too sure. So it least if the first wheel is a duster and we have a free carry then the money remaining combined with money raised from production would then allowers to drill the next drill for ourselves. If we where to drill the first well on our own and it's a duster and we have no M&A to fall back on this could really affect us a lot and confidence in investing in the company from any new potential investors. Initially i used to think let's do the first real alone and reap the rewards all for ourselves if we strike oil but then there is that word IF. So let's spread the risk is my take on it. | offerman
09/1/2019 09:10 | "Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana The other potential area for growth of local energy service companies is in export markets. The huge exploration success of Exxon in Guyana and the fast-track development of the resources has obviously created a lot of interest from energy service companies from across the globe. Many Trinidad & Tobago service companies are actively exploring the Guyana market, with some notable success stories. Continued interest and investment into Guyana are expected to continue in 2019. The exploration success in Guyana has spurred interested in neighbouring Suriname and French Guiana, with exploration activities underway in both countries. These exploration activities create some short-term business for Trinidad-based service companies while success will obviously create further business opportunities. Events in both countries will be closely monitored by the energy sector in Trinidad."https://en | garnhiem80
09/1/2019 09:04 | Hi peeps watched this for a while didn't expect the drop so bought a few this morning cant see a lot happening until till next update, least they hit 1000bopd target oil going up so steady income but still can see them raising money before drill spins. | avsome1968
09/1/2019 09:01 | I think there are a lot of us here who wished we had cashed out at 8p but the very fact we are investing in Aim is an indication that we are all looking for that Golden Nugget. LK is a heavyweight in the industry with a proven track record. It is never a nice feeling being heavily underwater and losing paper money but I am confident that LTHs will be handsomely rewarded on a 2-3 year time scale. | billeeedee
09/1/2019 08:46 | 800bopd, 1000bopd at $50/bbl makes little difference. There were two reasons I bought and continue to hold CERP and its not for the shallow onshore wells. Its M&A outside T&T and drilling the large targets in the SWP. We're gonna be drilling SWP this year so that's excellent. "The Company continues to pursue M&A opportunities both in Trinidad and South America that are value accretive for Columbus shareholders with several formal proposals under consideration by the relevant parties, such opportunities consistent with Company's strategy roadmap." Its also good to see they're at the formal proposal stage on several of these, hopefully the ones outside T&T. Suriname has interesting assets for EOR. Count your blessings fellas we only have $400k debt, something TXP holders could dream of, they'll likely need a massive discounted placing like TRIN had to do. So still on track for South American acquisition and SWP drilling. If some of the weak holders give us a good price between here and there so be it. Regards, Ed. | edgein

09/1/2019 08:43 | Think this lays it out as happened and look forward to the next 6 months which should see the share price increase, what with the poo stabilising, bedding in of the fields acquired and the swp campaign in the middle of the year. imo. | kwizza

09/1/2019 08:30 | I'm with you John and jcg, sticking in and buying more at these low prices. I know the results look disappointing and not what everyone was hoping for but to me they are realistic and I'm not put off. A little disappointed but considering all possibilities and outcomes they are not dreadful, just not what we all would have wished for. These are a long termer as people have said many times on here. 09/1/2019 08:28 | Mixed news this morning. Disappointed with the quarterly figure - hampered severely by the weather so not much could have been done about that. Pleased the 1000 bopd peak production was achieved but also pleased the LK is moving away from specific bopd figures - I would rather have an overall company achievement target " focussing on a level of production that optimises profits ("better bang for our buck"), as opposed to chasing production targets per se. " Interesting to note "The Company continues to pursue M&A opportunities both in Trinidad and South America that are value accretive for Columbus shareholders with several formal proposals under consideration by the relevant parties, such opportunities consistent with Company's strategy roadmap." I look forward to hearing about these possible acquisitions in the future. And obviously looking forward to the SWP progression mid this year "Another key focus in the next six months will be the ongoing technical and commercial preparations for the planned drilling campaign in the South West Peninsula, which we plan to commence mid-2019. Work continues to identify the optimal drilling locations and to help reduce risk and increase the chance of success. I remain hugely excited at the opportunity presented by the SWP exploration portfolio which could be transformational for the Company in 2019, given the known prospectivity which exists in the SWP." I also look forward to the day when a RNS actually increases the share price - hopefully in 2019! | jcgswims

09/1/2019 07:17 | This doesn't look good to me. Average production down 9% and net debt almost unaltered despite fund raise (which I appreciate was for other purposes). I look forward to reading others views but my feeling is a red day in prospect, down 10% | esmerelda
09/1/2019 07:08 | RNS"In summary, our newly integrated operational team and our supporting contractors in Trinidad have faced many challenges in Q4 2018 but have proved the production potential and profitability of our six fields. I look forward to progressing the various opportunities we have in the coming months and hope 2019 can be a year of real transformation for Columbus." | susiebe
