12bn - lack of pressure is the answer to your question. The logging shows the oil is there it does, however, need encouragement to flow at a good commercial rate at the surface.

Water Flood is the preferred method of longer term pressure support and CERP are currently at the early stages of the pilot programme.

CERP have also achieved results far exceeding your expectations using electric pumps to increase pressure.

If you read the rns and watch the media all this will become apparent to you - you seem to be stuck in a time warp of the Ritson/ Leni era where technical innovation of the sort embraced by the new management team was not pursued with the same vigour.

There are no guarantees of success but the new team have ideas which have worked when you have doubted - they are very experienced oil men - I'm backing them not a time warp ignoramus!

You are right about China offerman. It's a very powerful country that is slowly stating to assert its authority in the China sea and beyond.

Leo based his initial strategy on an oil price of $45. WTI is now at $70.49 and Brent is at $76.49. I hope we see the effect on oil shares because we will definitely see it at the pumps.

Global security has always been and will always be insecure as that's mans nature and always will be. One day the Chinese will be in amongst it all too for real.'Tis the nature of man

If you like 'pie in the sky' prices Garnheim, then LGO once hit over 6.5p,equivalent to 130p in todays 20:1 consolidation prices but the picture looked rosy then. We were given open flow rates of 6000 bopd from 1 well,670 but that was soon choked back to 1000 bopd, everything still looked rosy for NRs drill programme but these high initial flow rates soon disappeared. Trinidad wells just petered out to a dribble, the big question is why?

JPMorgan estimates that production will fall to 1.2m bpd by December from 1.5m now, although the risk of its falling below 1m bpd “is very high”.

The market is also focusing on Venezuela, after ConocoPhillips was said to be working to take Venezuelan oil assets in the Caribbean to fulfill a $2.04 billion arbitration award...

frontdoor - pretty much zero if you sold out completely but if you left them in your old sock drawer you’re probably pleased they’re worth more than those old verruca plasters and if progress to date is sustained by the new team you may be pleasantly surprised with ultimate value.

It happened to me many years ago when LGO were mainly about Spain and losing litigation but the change of direction stimulated a huge upswing - the rest is history - not all good as you know! ATB!

Surprisingly enough, I started with a sore knee and hip and after 5 days walking, they are now both ok. The magic of prolonged exercise.

Management
I have been round the AIM circuit for a fair number of years, made a few quid and lost a few as well. I have had the pleasure of meeting Loe and other members of the Board on few occasions now and have real faith that they will take Columbus to another level. Leo is a class and some above the norm in AIM and current investors can thank their lucky stars we have him at the helm. I have a target of 55p in the next 30 months, seems a long time but a 10 bagger is certainly not unrealistic IMO. Listen to bigmj he is a very astute investor and also a very genuine down to earth individual. GLA the journey will be worth taking.

Ross - production is a big problem for 12bn - not a red herring - he thinks it's more like KOD - sinking to new lows whereas the opposite is the case - known to anyone capable of reading rns and listening to media!
