Contract Announcement
SEA awarded GBP3m Network Rail enforcement system contracts
Cohort, the independent technology group, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary SEA has been awarded contracts worth more than GBP3m by Network Rail to supply and install its Metro Red Light enforcement system at selected level crossing sites.
Metro Red Light has been developed by SEA to support Network Rail's drive to improve safety at level crossings. The system uses video analytics to detect and capture evidential images and video of any vehicle which crosses a level crossing while the red lights are activated. The system has been proven at a number of sites where it has successfully reduced offending.
Under these contracts SEA will deliver and install over 30 systems at selected level crossings.
Andy Thomis, Chief Executive of Cohort, said:
"The Metro Red Light system is the latest member of SEA's successful Roadflow family and it builds on our experience of delivering over 750 traffic enforcement systems in the UK and overseas. This contract award, together with other recent wins, enhances the visibility of future Group revenue."
