21/7/2024 19:09 | Reckon price dip due to capacity issues. Surely a takeover target | robertball
21/7/2024 07:51 | Those two contract wins that sloped in last week are impressive , if not as large as the Ancilia one from the RN. There is a pattern here of confidence in the company , not just from MOD customers. As long as the capacity to expand is there, this one to hold and prosper I think. | wad collector

17/7/2024 20:55 | INVESTORS CHRONICLE Momentum builds at Cohort Huge naval order swells pipeline by 60 per cent Overall, the strong results and decent order momentum led to several broker upgrades to forecasts. Shore Capital lifted its earnings per share estimate for 2025 by 7 per cent and 2026 by 9 per cent. Based off the former, Cohort’s shares trade at a price/earnings ratio of just under 20 times, which is well above its five-year average of 15 times as well sector giants like BAE Systems (BA.) and Lockheed Martin (US:LMT). As Shore Capital's Jamie Murray points out, though, further upgrades seem likely given recent order momentum. Maintain buy. | tournesol

17/7/2024 20:42 | SHARES MAGAZINE EXPERT VIEW Analysts at Shore Capital were upbeat about Cohort: ‘Cohort offers a solid and growing order book with a robust book-to-bill ratio, a positive industrial backdrop in defence and security markets, and a strategic supplier position with clients. This all points towards premium valuation being sustained for Cohort, in our view.’ source:- | tournesol

17/7/2024 13:50 | Cohort plc announced its unaudited results for the financial year ended 30 April 2024 this morning and they were solid if not spectacular. Revenue was up 11% to £202.5m, adjusted operating profit was up 11% to £21.1m and adjusted EPS was up 18% to 42.89p. However growth of the order book was spectacular, its was up 58% to £518.7m and it augurs well for topline growth in the next couple of years. Valuation is decent if not particularly cheap with forward PE ratio around 20x and PS ratio at 1.72x. The balance sheet is strong with negative net debt, dividend yield is a little stingy while the share price has positive momentum and has broken through to new record highs following today’s results. BUY.... ...from WealthOracle wealthoracle.co.uk/d | martinmc123
17/7/2024 06:42 | Results as expected. I suppose we have to see what the phase "...further significant progress" means. As it's AIM there won't be much analyst coverage | robertball
17/7/2024 06:36 | FY24: record results and maintained momentum: Cohort reported strong FY24 results, with revenue +11%YoY at £202.5m, which was 8% above our outlook, and (adj.) operating profit of £21.1m +11%YoY (3% above EDE). The closing order book was £518.7m +58%YoY with order intake of £392.1m, +78%YoY, and estimated 95% coverage of our FY25 revenue outlook. The year closed with net cash of £23.1m. National security and spending on defence became an issue of top priority through the course of pre-election campaigning, with the Labour Government indicating that it would increase spending to 2.5% of GDP compared an estimated 2.30% in 2023/24. The Group reports good demand from both domestic customers and for exports, noting increased attention to defence spending spurred by conflict in Ukraine and ongoing tension in the Indo-Pacific region. Our read-across to the market cap-weighted average of peers leads us to raise our Fair Value / share to 910p from 725p. Link to research note: | edmonda
