Hi bookbroker. COB produced a profit warning today, think it has caused more weakness in the sector. Wide spread and low volume, I am reluctant to add in a downward trend, I usually find it's the wrong move for me. Will continue watching....but it is cheap! Best of luck.

Tempted to buy a few more here, but a desire to wait for half year report for more progress, feel that this is a well-managed co. operating in a tough sector!

Why the weakness, any hint of a fundraising/placing for an acquisition would be of interest?

A shame there is not more institutional interest here, as price seems to lag their prospects, hopefully just a case of consolidation. It will be interesting to see how the emergence of the 'Army Reserve', and the emphasis on the soon to be ex. T.A., will be of benefit to cos. such as CHRT. and its division of 'SCS' as an advisory unit in terms of training support, etc. Could open up a few more avenues.

Hi bookbroker, disappointing of course when they start slipping after a purchase, but if the markets do not go into meltdown this will be a long term hold for me. Looking to add, but easier to buy, and under offer, than sell at the moment, so will bide my time, but add i will.

I will comment when I purchase again.

Royal - you had better start nibbling right away, don't wish to see this consolidate any further after recent gains, already undervalued as it is.

Agree 100%, the only negative I can see is the wide spread as it is low cap. and controlled by MM's not SETS.

Reminds me a bit of PEN, which is just being recognised.

I will keep nibbling away. Best of luck.

Partly my fault. I've been building a large stake in the 95-112p range.

PE below 8, underlying order book +12% with demand either increasing/stabilised, 30% mkt cap in cash, FCF/EV of around 4 and well positioned in the ewarfare/secure networks area, large potential for export orders.

Any buyer could easily pay 200p and get a good ROE. I doubt management are looking to sell but if the price is good enough...

Is this about to push off up to new highs, about time as solid earnings data recently and better visibility with the possibility of an earnings enhancing acquisition underpinning the stock, a shed load of cash on the balance sheet to support any acquisition.

Nice tick up this morning, a real value play this one, very strong balance sheet, costs well under control, and high quality management led by Andrew Thomis (ex. Alvis), knows the defence market very well. Along way to go to reach its heights of three years ago but heading in the right direction and with more clarity over future prospects with the possibility of an acquisition down the line, the stock should be trading higher. Main thing here is that cash generation v. strong as a result of tight control over costs.

Came across an audio interview with Andrew Thomis, Chief Executive Officer of Cohort Plc.

Its well worth a listen:

Stonking results, £14m cash and profits really starting to show that costs now firmly under control, also better visibility show just how undervalued this stock has now become, all they need is a good acquisition and the stock should start to push on upwards. A well-managed and well-respected co. with a v. light shareholder register, be nice to see more institutional support.

the bank balance has been used to good affect over the last few years
this has been used to top up director share holdings. i think this will
be cranked up over the coming months. you have got to admit not worth the
risk using their own money to buy shares. unnaproved share options
are rife on aim

Talk about a yawn, they have been discussing ways to improve shareholder value and to utilise some of the £9m.+ that sits on the balance sheet, about time we saw some action.

If CHRT were looking at an acquisition, an area where the cultures and potential could lie may be in electronic security, WSG might fit the bill as much of their business is with foreign govts. in the area of recognition and the co. could be picked up with loose change from the CHRT cash balances.

Time this co. was re-rated, MASS is worth more than the rest, they have ironed out many of the issues of the last two years, and the it generates a significant amount of cash, and for a change, here is a co. with some reasonable visibility, ok SCS needs a little bit of work, but hell its the overall performance that counts and they have delivered on their promises.

It would also be gratifying if they were able to suggest that SCS might be advising the UK Govt. on the security issues ahead of the Olympics next year.

Fairly positive statement today concerning contract for one of subsidiaries, and as per se results to come, hoping for a move upwards to reflect that there appear to be no hidden surprises and good cash control.

From 65p to 90p in two days. Can't see it going much higher short term and it could go lower. The cash has gone into TSTR after news there today.
