sent an email to BERR asking where I should direct correspondence about a complaint.

It would be helpful to get a comprehensive list of all the company RNSs. Unfortunately, they seem to have been taken over by RBS announcements on the 'news' tab above. Just trying to get a complete picture to send to the BERR.

reading an article about the Farepak debacle, a mention is made of a 'Companies Investigation unit' at the BERR. I'll see about finding out about them. Sorry, no further progress to report, been busy at work past few days.

There may be some results, but that doesn't mean WE will get them - we still don't know if the entire company has been sold to Erin for $1 or not. If it has, we don't have a company any more...or perhaps we still own the UK part of it, which from memory was just a tiny fraction of the actual company.

But I agree - thanks to those who have been sniffing around and finding whatever tidbits there are. Ta.

Thank you for your efforts--it's good to know they are still trading. If we all persist we may get some results!

They are still active:

According to the link above, they have until the end of July to file accounts for the period to 31st Dec 2007. So at the moment, it's not a sure fire total loss, despite how I've felt up 'til now. Ain't holding my breath, mind.
I think a good idea is to make sure that if your holding was via a nominee account, that CCH know your details properly.

ok, PI Robertson's case book so far:

Phoned FSA helpdesk 4 on number from link posted by me yesterday, guy told me since it was AIM I had to contact AIM regulatory team (0207 797 4154).
Phoned AIM regulatory team; they said since listing cancelled 30 days after resignation of NOMAD, nowt they can do (seemed reluctant to do anything about potential breaches of regs that caused the NOMAD to feel they should get the hell out). They did point to the fact that the DTI (now called BERR, link below) should be able to look at the situation, as we hold shares in a private company which has responsibilities regarding accounts, AGM etc too (The fact that the Finance guy is in the registered office suggests the outfit has not gone to the wall. ).Phone lines closed by the time I got there. Tomorrow.

nice prompt reply from Mail on Sunday---my enquiry has been passed to Jeff Prestridge. I hope he will follow up and get us some answers. Soggy--how about you sending your list of questions to the M on Sun?

I don't think it was actually a hustle - the business was good, it was just that they appear to have cut a corner legally and got caught out. I would bet that in any other circumstances the banks would have levied a surcharge or something and we'd just have got on with it. Unfortunately the problem arose right at the start of the hysteria between banks and nobody was going to cut anybody any slack. Sheesh! they won't even do ordinary business between each other at the moment let alone anything with a glitch!

So the plug was pulled and everybody loses - the banks included, which is the crazy thing.

But this absolute silence is surely criminal - literally. To have cancelled the AGM and to not file results etc. I'm sure is a breach of the requirements that should be highlighted. And although Nil owns most of the company, we do still, technically, own part of it. So what's happening? Are we still trading even though we're not listed? What of all those millions that are already lent out - are they still being repaid or have they been defaulted on because we're down the swanee? And what of this jiggery-pokery of selling off the company for nothing to be bought back in three years for nothing? And what actually did happen about the agreement of the two banks involved - I seem to remember one bank agreed to whatever the deal was but we never got told what the other bank did?

And where is all the money now?

And where are the directors now?

We all know it's probably goodnight Vienna for our investments, but the FSA should surely be asking for explanations of what has happened while the company was under their jurisdiction as a listed company on a London exchange.

Well done on selling--I had the same trouble on the spike and only managed to sell a few but still hold 69000--I was concerned but planned to sell over a period of time then events overtook me! I thought Lemming might have followed up on this as they lost money too but they were unable to get meetings or replies from Nil and seemed to give up. At least if I have to write it off I can use it against possible CGT but this limbo is frustrating. Thanks for the sympathy and advice. I hope more CCH holders will join in now.

moormoney - I agree, you and fellow shareholders should at least all bring this to the attention of the FSA. Suspension has been going on for too long - especially as updates re. progress etc are virtually non-existent.

For a start off I think you have to expect the worst here and more or less write off your investment. I don't think you will be seeing your money again - but all the same it should be reported.

One of the problems is that Nil holds virtually all the stock - it's not as if the PI's, collectively, hold any kind of weight in this company...:(

I held this on the run up to results and sold out on the spike - even then it was a struggle to sell the stock, which made me very wary. I insisted to my broker that I wanted them sold and turned him back to the mm's - eventually he came back to me (and got a half-decent price)....but it is always a concern when mm's are reluctant to take the stock.

The very best of luck. Other PI's who are in here should at least show vocal support to moormoeny's intentions.

ps. Have you tried contacting lemming investor as a starting point?

3 emails have been ignored now so I have sent the sorry tale to Jeff Prestridge {mail on sunday} to see if he might investigate the co. for us. Someone out there must know something!! It might help if we all contacted the mail on sunday about CCH shafting it's shareholders and apparently getting away with it. Time for a small holders action group to mobilise I think!!
