Hope on liquidation only, just a thought is there any point complaining to the FSA? I know theyre completely hopeless but after the N.Rock fiasco it might be worth threatening them with a pr savaging if they dont at least look into the way the shareholders have been treated here?

I'm hoping for a relist if the credit crunch eases would like to think by year end though after Gordon's interventions/meddling! I'm just annoyed at the company silence--surely they should respond to their shareholders? Can a suspension mean you automatically lose your shares or only on liquidation?

Hopefully might relist on plus market if credit squeeze ends by mid 09?

HL are holding mine in case they ever get reactivated but looking at the chart that long flat line tells you something - not much sign of life here.

Erm... I think you mean "previously worth a lot of dosh" - now worth sod all. (possibly worth something, sometime, someday, maybe - but probably a fraction of a fraction of what we paid for them!)

Granules - I got a letter from my broker (TDW) saying that as the co. was no longer listed on any market, here's a share certificate....good luck trying to flog it to someone someday! (paraphrased slightly...)

So, it's in the file along with Railtrack, Ionica, Medi@invest, Baltimore, ThreeW.net, Affinty, Infobank... Yes, I have a history of picking duds!

I emailed the co. today asking for some news. Surely we should have some results even if they are suspended! no reply though.

OK I give up:

What share certificate?

Shares in what?
worth what?

(my holdings are in a nominee sipp and nobody there tells me diddly squat)

Did everyone else get the share certificate through the post a couple of weeks ago?

I didn't get the letter either--the lack of info is very frustrating! I suppose this could take years to sort out.

The letter sent out to shareholders on 24th Dec said they'd hold an EGM soon. Has anyone heard anything since? (I didn't get that letter - presumably cos my shares are in a nominee account and TDW didn't forward it. So, I assume I wouldn't get any other letters the company might send)

Or has anyone heard anything on any other grapevines? Even idle gossip would be interesting to hear.

I say amen to that Mullah. Lots bought near the top. I'm glad a few others bought at the bottom and held on for the ride. I feel less guilty now! Given the choice, I would prefer to keep my holding than get a few pence per share when the business then gets turned around (it was a sound busines for a while!). That would be very frustrating indeed on top of what we've already had! You pays your money, you takes your choice: timing is everything but when you get it exactly right I'm afraid it is sheer luck rather than judgement! Such is investing in stocks!

Thanks for the post. I was lucky enough to have taken profits at 82p and my remnant holding was "free carry" only. Any cash payment will be a bonus, but I would prefer trading again.

Soggy,

Of course you are right.

Whatever the Nils want they will get.

But, I'm sure that the EGM will be reported and, if there is a significant showing of minority shareholders voicing dissent as to what they (Nils) are, in fact, pushing through, it will not look well for them should any winding-up or worse/better a DTI investigation take place.

Ah well; money paid, choice taken.

I didn't receive the letter either - I'm in a TDWaterhouse nominee account. Thanks for posting the text of it. Really appreciated.

I agree with both posts above, positive in that it looks like they are not going to disappear and leave us with nothing, but also the negative sentiments that we still don't know the details and it is likely that we will end up with a small return.

As for a lot of people attending the EGM, what difference would it make? With the Nils holding 85% at the end of the day they will just vote through whatever they want, and that will undoubtedly mean whatever is best for the Nils brothers. (wouldn't you if you were them?)

Back to "wait and see" but at least we know that we've got something to wait for, other than complete oblivion.

Happy New Year to us all.
