12/5/2002 21:43 | Pops - We could use this thread. No-one ever comes here | lukic
04/4/2002 09:30 | wow - 10% rise and a narrower spread. Whatever next? | lukic
02/4/2002 09:03 | hmm -nice jump on zero activity (what a surprise). Are they trying to generate a bit of interest. LOWER THE SPREAD THEN!!!!!!! | lukic
16/3/2002 00:55 | Someone just bailed over 1m shares at 0.5p (half the bid price). Must have been desperate to pick up £5k. Not one I would touch now with the market makers grabbing sellers by the short and curlies. Lukic, you still in? All the best Bones | bones
15/3/2002 17:03 | Re-inforces my point really - if the offer was dropped to, say, 1.05p. there might be more people willing to try a "Punt". Plus, the MMs would STILL get 100% profit on the spread alonefrom todya's rip-off sale. So if you are reading this Mr. (non) "Market Maker" in Coburg, why not give it a go and create a proper market for this share for the first time in 2 years...? | eurosceptic
15/3/2002 16:41 | Hi Bones Still in, but have a very small holding and do not pay too much attention to this one. Am doing nicely on RON and LMC at the mo, and hoping that PCMs results at month end will lift their price significantly. Trust you are ok Lukic | lukic
14/3/2002 16:47 | Can anyone explain the 11% rise today with no trades showing? | sardine
03/12/2001 16:37 | All the best Bones -thanks for all your help | lukic
02/12/2001 18:30 | coffee = madisons imho | ydderf
02/12/2001 15:27 | OK - changed my tack and sold them all now! There's too many better liquid opportunities at the moment and I have become impatient. At least the shares protected my ISA while the horror show took place in the tech markets earlier in the year. All the best for those still holding. I will keep watching out for these. 17/11/2001 21:44 | Cheers, lukic. rolandp - no, they don't have anything lined up (according to the Chairman). They run a small coffee supply business (worth peanuts). Their value is in the cash shell status. They have stated at each results that they are looking to use their full quote for a reverse takeover of a growing business. They were punted in Jan 2000 as an internet shell and the price galloped to 14p. I get the impression from speaking to the Chairman that nothing is happening for the time being and they are trying to contain costs. For me, the value is in waiting for a speculative flurry. If it doubles in a couple of days, I will dump the shares while there are buyers interested (it isn't often!) Bones | bones
16/11/2001 12:14 | good luck bones. I dont have much in CGG either. Just need 3p and I am out. Had a great day today with my bigger holdings -PCM, EGS and NGG. Hope you are lucky too | lukic
16/11/2001 09:51 | Hi guys What is their strategy in terms of a reverse takeover? Do they have a buyer in the wings for the existing businesses or are they expecting a bolt on? Cheers R | rolandp
15/11/2001 13:18 | lukic, given the likely lack of activity for a good while yet, I've decided to cut 50% from my holding (it was quite large for a tiny stock) for an 11% offer to bid profit in 7 months. The spread is a killer but I want to buy some more liquid movers. The other half will ride so I am still here! Regards Bones. | bones
15/11/2001 01:56 | I will stick with it! | sardine
14/11/2001 23:42 | :) Just the one! | bones

14/11/2001 21:54 | Having said in the last post in September that the Co Secretary is affable, he has now gone! So, following that announcement,I spoke to Konrad Legg, the main shareholder and chairman (and now chief bottle-washer and everything else). KL and Clayton-Gale were the two exec directors. However, KL said that Coburg is just too small to have two full-time execs so Clayton-Gale has gone to do his own thing. KL said that, following the stock market fall-out, there are a lot of cash shells competing for businesses' cash. CGG also has less net assets than some of them. In contrast, because CGG has a wide shareholder base (3,000+) and is a very small company, this should make it an attractive shell since it won't dilute the reversing company's shareholders too much whilst ensuring a wide shareholder base. KL said that he has issued sufficient RNS statements explaining the search for businesses. Meantime, the search goes on. KL said the current coffee business is chugging along OK but nothing to write home about it seems. The main thing is that there is no sinister happening behind this resignation and that the reversal strategy is the only way to expect to realise a return. Patience is the key here methinks! 14/11/2001 21:40 | OK lukic, I spoke to Konrad Legg this afternoon. Actually, Clayton-Gale was a director. He and KL were both listed as executive but KL owns all the shares! Anyway, KL said that Coburg is just too small to have two full-time execs so Clayton-Gale has gone to do his own thing. 14/11/2001 15:31 | Someone unloaded 60k in a panic (small beer really)! I don't know. He wasn't a director (as I recall) so I don't know if he held shares. Seems a bit of a terse statement though. The main man is Konrad Legg. I wouldn't mind speaking to him! I'll see if I can get hold of someone (can't promise!) Bones | bones
14/11/2001 15:08 | hey we have an RNS - is this Clayton chappy any good or is it good for the Company that he has gone? | lukic |
