15/8/2013 12:54 | can someone explain this rights issue to me please using kiddy language , I may have got this all wrong but my understanding was , you can buy shares at 2p for every one you hold , but you have to buy these shares and pay for them by cheque ,or cash equivalent, if no funds then cannot buy shares so thought about selling half before the issue to have the funds available to buy at 2p, so sold some at 4p as no interest in general for this stock ,sold a little too soon there!!, but I can not understand the nil rights issue and what shares I have , will be entitled to, what I can sell them at and the difference in holdings , so for example !!!! I hold 50,000 shares and have sold 50,000 at 4p giving me cash to buy back 50,000 shares at 2p so will hold 100,000 after rights issue and the cash left from difference in selling 50,000at 4p , apart from getting the share price wrong thinking value wouldn't get anywhere near 6p what have I done wrong and more importantly what should I have done , sarcasm in answers in moderation please but would hope someone can explain how much I may be out of pocket short term as long term I will still be back at original share holding plus the difference in cash from selling half at 4p and had the cash to buy in the rights issue and if share price goes up then great , | badger1963

15/8/2013 10:48 | 6.25p +2p /2 4.125p x 600 = 24.75 Million pounds Looks like the nil paid rights are 2.125p @ current price what a difference a few days make ;-) | strutt12

14/8/2013 19:39 | If you want to stay in the game but don't want to put fresh cash in (mine are in a fully-invested ISA so not allowed to inject more cash) why not 'swallow the tail'? (sell enough ex-Rights to pay for the new Rights shares) | jeffian
14/8/2013 19:20 | Strutt 12 MMM I do see,if its any help I'm taking the rights as cash is available and I'm probably taking a longer view too so sell your 1/4 for short term prft keep 1/2. As to the price bubbling at the mo there's not a lot of volume but how long can you keep a good horse back. | dazzaa
14/8/2013 17:14 | Dazzaa, It's a bit of a gamble but I wasn't happy being told I had to invest another £40000, so hope to buy back after the rights. The quarter I've sold has made me a nice profit and I didn't want to lose that after the rights. The dilemma for me is do I sell another quarter and just keep half. Life eh!! | strutt12
14/8/2013 16:49 | Nice close. | freddie ferret
14/8/2013 16:27 | Freddie, I'm afraid I have to disagree, you say you could drop the share price by putting in a sell ot two, well I've sold two batches in the last two days one of 250000 and one of 210000 and I can tell you it's higher now than when I sold!!!!! | strutt12
14/8/2013 14:37 | jeffian. In principle yes, however it would be very easy for someone to manipulate the recent share price rise by placing a few small sells. I could drop the share price by putting in a sell or to. This is currently a thinly traded share. If I dropped the share price to 3p then after the rights issue the shares would trade at 2.5p right? I would suggest you detach yourself from the short term share price movements and concentrate on reading and digesting the RNS and prospectus. ATB. | freddie ferret
13/8/2013 17:59 | Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a market value of 5p for the existing shares cum-Rights indicate a post-Rights value of 3.5p? (1 existing share at 5p + 1 Rights share at 2p divided by 2 = 3.5p). If I'm right, then the Nil-Paid Rights shares should have a 1.5p premium attached for those that want to sell. | jeffian
13/8/2013 17:10 | Anybody know if this is traded on the ISDX? If it is then LSE trades data tell us little. The share price has gone up however in relation to the rights issue the value of today's trades are likely to be small. It would be nice if today's rise is genuine and indicates how the aftermarket will be (yes I do know there will be a drop, the question is how big?) | freddie ferret
13/8/2013 16:44 | Moving the price up to encourage PI to take part in the rights issue before it falls to reflect the dilution | strutt12
13/8/2013 16:21 | 18% apparently! | jeffian
13/8/2013 16:13 | Wooah - up 18% currently. What have I missed?! | dashton42 |
