PUGUGLY,

How do I access your message ?

When I phoned the co. on Friday neither Nigel C. or Chris Gurry were available. If I don`t get an email from either tomorrow , I will try phoning again. ( patience is a virtue.)

Re 419 - Company just bought in 50K shares at 302p - I wonder who was selling and if they have been cleared out?

Looks like MM's playing games with advertised prices - Real spread far tighter - I would guess that some sales attributed by ADVFN algorithm are infact buys.

SP still decling and on relativly high volume compared to last 6 months daily volume (based on chart visuals) - Very much a buyers strike (imo) due to lack of forward clarity - Like trying to punch through cotton wool. fyi - Still very much on the side and watching.

Also 2K buyer at 315 to close -- MM's keeping a very wide spread - Difficult to deal in any size - either to sell or buy -

Just over nine weeks has passed since the profit warning on 20/11/18 , which suggests that management have been surprised by the ongoing situation. How much of the reduction in orders is directly due to customers instigating an " inventory correction period " or stock reduction program , and how much is due to more long term factors ?

Referring to their long term strategy of greater diversification, both geographic, and in the number of products marketed, They say:---". The growing product portfolio and our expanded global sales coverage is driving the value of our sales opportunity pipeline significantly higher. Despite the challenges associated with current market dynamics, we believe that the Company remains very well placed to benefit as these external situations normalise." ---They sound confident, but visibility of earnings would seem to be a difficult area.

PUGUGLY,

I will email the company with a few questions .

After re-reading rns and accounts as 2nd half advised as below 1st half and as 1st half below corresponding period last year it looks to me as though profit after tax might well be below the 2017 level so at 320p forward p/e may be in region of 15 which is a bit steep if coy is now ex growth - e&oe - Views-comments?

Also bought a few at 320, but feeling queasy? China affect kicking in? A good Co. and friends working there. Sentiment kicks in, not good.

12% off revenue - If overheads, reseach and any other fixed costs remain the same as do gross margins is a lot more than 12% off the bottom line - Not sure if I will have the time to do the calculations over the weekend. Also as Roddiemac points out the China outlook is unclear -
Declaration - Used to hold but sold out last year and was thinking about getting back in - Potential p/e, by gut feel, at the moment feels a bit on the high side

Roddiemac2 - its clear you are more knowlegeable about CML than me. I invested earlier this year at about £5 and am happy to increase my holding as the share price fall was far more than the 12% revenue reduction and I like the fundamentals even if there may be short term pain. only time will tell of course.

gilesy,

I would be tempted to top up , but CML are my second largest holding already.

The last time the shares got bashed was when they lost a customer that represented 10% of the business; this time it is more general. Nigel Clarke, then FD , sold a lot of shares not long before the announcement of the loss of the customer representing 10% of the business. Chairman now, it would be nice to see him buying again. That would indicate a fair degree of confidence.

I agree ---well run and minimal debt: plenty of cash to fund the all important R&D, however they may be vulnerable to the slow down in China -----? They have not said much, but they never do.

Agreed well run but could this be signaling Ex Growth? If so forward p/e potentially still too high.
Has anyone seen a broker's morning note? Very poorly covered.

Should we translate as follows?---- The company remains well placed to benefit if and when these external situations normalise . There is an element of "not our fault guv. " in their statement. It would seem hard for them to assess visibility of earnings. We have now had two profit warnings ; will we get a third?

The company is financially sound, and management seem confident that they can ride out the current reduction in orders. I will try to speak with them today.

Not looking good - Anticipate a significant markdown when market opens but as so illiquid anything might happen if a rush to sell (all imo)Challenges very much the operative word these days with the Brexit mess -

However - Jam again tomorrow?

Edited at 7:30 am Pre market now marked down by 25% or 108p to 300/350 wide spread says MM's do not want to deal at the moment

The pitifully small number of shares traded today indicates that most holders are happy to hold, as I am. Against the backdrop of Brexit uncertainties most shares have been hit.Management here are quietly confident of the future. The interim dividend is maintained.

A few short term headwinds here, but the company looks well positioned for the medium term in markets that are likely to continue to grow at a good clip. Looks attractive to me.

Not in at the moment Bones, but on the back of the t/s today, looks very solid.

o/t: Thanks for the reply on Wey, appreciated. Two late trades there today about 0.5% of the company. Miton have been selling down a lot of AIM stocks recently, could be them reducing. Judging by the late price action, they may have more to ditch.

Apologies again to all, back to CML :)
