I noticed one of my buy orders filled at 350 this morning. One more to go.

JD, I thought about the chat here and reviewed the chart over the weekend, so took a small loss this morning. As I mentioned before, there is another potential turn tomorrow, so perhaps I should wait for that.

The overall pattern does look a bit like Three peaks and domed house, [google it!] which means price ends up at ground level, 320 ish.

Thanks for your thoughts. Surprised at recent drop, looking very good value at these levels though!

JD, A support zone at approx 325-350. Thought it worth getting a few, as a possible turn shows for today, with another on Tuesday.

Price touched lower rising trendline.

Rising 50sma at 351

Hi Bamboo. What was your reasoning for adding at 358? Being the chartist you are, do you see support here?

Well let's be honest about it. CMCX has lost 20% of its value vs the recent highs and it could lose another 20% before going up. Might be worth sticking an additional buy order in at 290 as well.

Looks to me like the market is thinking the return to work is imminent and the mug punters will start falling off.

I'll hang on for break even and settle for the profit I've made this last year out of CMCX,

I'm no chartist, but we have now retouched the resistance level on 3 occasions on the way up, does this equate to "filling the gap" I wonder?

I had a couple of orders triggered in the last hour that were set this morning, may have missed the bottom but that's par for the course in my book :)

It is disappointing the move over the last few days here .. but equally, it is appetising.

People are pursuing post-vaccine COVID recovery stocks and ignoring growth stocks.

What is a certainty is that business growth for CMC will not miss a beat.

The key here will be the moment at which this is a genuine bargain.

Some would say we are here now.

In auction this morning opened 5 mins late, either the MM was late out of bed or someone was arguing for a good sell price on 13 shares :))

Disappointing after yesterday's rise. 360p top up coming possibly?

I think unless something changes this is a now long term hold for me.

People at home with little to do other than gamble on the markets with their furlough money has to be good news for all the spread betters. But CMC especially is in the ascendency

Sharescope has pencilled a 23p divi for the full year. Given the tripling of the interim divi it does not look infeasible to me.

Invest in the casino.

undervalued - imo institutional investment interest is a major indicator of value and we don't see much of that here, which is why we get the silly opening spread and very little auction action.

As you say the dividend has just tripled and yet at just over 2% it pales to insignificance when you consider the post ex divi share price dro. Round figures, I estimate selling off the day prior to ex has produce a profit for me of just over 6% after selling & buying costs.

Note, I'm not interested in talking a product Up or Down, I write it as I see it and look forward to seeing +400p in the run up to the next ex dividend date.

Gbh2 .. point taken .. but it is scarcely expensive is it. the proof of which is going to be the yield. divi tripled at interims and will jump again at the full year as a matter of certainty.

Is transforming into a big player now.

IG is a good steady income whereas this is living on relatively short term figures that "may" recede when Covid volatility dies off.

Edit: The volatile aspect of CMCX is why I'm holding here & been buying since ex divi date rather than putting my cash into IG.

Came to a similar conclusion. Bought a small amount this morning.
I suspect higher than usual trading activity for the bulk of 2020 should drop straight to the bottom line :)

Compound EPS growth here over last 3 years trounces IG index

IG 3 year EPS growth annualised 2%
CMC 3 year EPS growth annualised 20%
data from advfn

Everyone measures EPS differently it seems so this is the same data on relative eps growth at IG and CMC group from from Sharescope:

IG 3 year EPS growth annualised 13%
CMC 3 year EPS growth annualised 30%

What is clear is this is CMC doing rather well both in real terms and against the competition.

The price being off 5-10% on results is simply a function of the "it is better to travel than to arrive" crowd taking something off the table.

Always good news in my view ..great results and the shares fall. Why ? New investors get double jam.
they get the great results and divi. And they get to take a postion at a discounted price.

CMC to be a 5% yielder by year-end.
