29/10/2010 07:27 | Maybe next month then CR | jampot7us
26/10/2010 10:12 | Makes you wonder if CPSP is trying to get the price up ahead of a potential bid as suggested in the Indy might be likely. They are pumping out contract news like no tomorrow and Blackrock increasing their stake significantly. Results Friday, and breaking out today. CR | cockneyrebel
23/10/2010 10:15 | ta jampot. what's actually interesting about these is that in 07 these were forecast to go from that 9p eps to about 16p eps the following year and looked well set to do that - then the banking collapse happened. They do have a great product tho and in the same industrial sector as FENR. Also rather exciting about these is the profits history - apart from last year where they had a slight dip in profits (after a huge recession I can forgive that) they had strong profit growth for the previous 4 years - in fact from 05 the profits here were doubling nearly, year on year. Jim McColl has a great track record as far as business goes too. Cheers for the volume update a couple of days ago - had I had the spare cash I'd have bought Thurs instead of Friday but sold a few VLX yesterday to make the cash for these. CR | cockneyrebel
23/10/2010 09:19 | Wellcome back cr | jampot7us
22/10/2010 19:22 | falling away? a tiny bit of give back? I bought in today having held these before the market tanked - these have done terrifically through the recession, all I wanted to see was the breakout - which came yesterday. When this goes through the next level of resistance they should take really take off. In 07 these were doing over 9p eps on £82m sales. These are forecast to do £82m sales next year but th eps forecast is just 7.3p. As they have been doing a lot of cost cutting you would expect £88m sales fetch far more than 9p eps this time imo. This is what was in the Indy said yesterday: "Yesterday, the AIM-listed engineering business Clyde Process Solutions cheered investors with news of a £1.2m contract with a major Chinese steel company. Resilient through the downturn, with quite high levels of debt reduction, the Independent thinks CPS is worth investing in and could yet yield to a bid (rivals have attracted fancy multiples). Buy, the paper advises. " Strange they mention a bid just after that high volume last week. CR | cockneyrebel
22/10/2010 16:04 | What bid rumours? | envirovision
22/10/2010 15:24 | falling away. bid rumours must have been quashed. pity. out now. | mechanical trader
21/10/2010 20:03 | Now I wasnt expecting that...... | jampot7us
14/9/2010 22:24 | This business is driven by contracts and they keep rolling in. No obvious reason for the share price to fall like this. | ygor705
14/9/2010 17:52 | I think the attraction is that the forecasts might be upgraded with the order book and the contracts just won, making then look cheaper still. | daz
14/9/2010 16:10 | Am actually quite interested in buying around 50p. Looks a classic value play to me. However, is the investment case simply that it is quite cheap, being on a foreacst P/E of 8 for this year and 7 next? Because if so, that isn't really outstandingly cheap for an engineering stock. Anyone explain why it is rated as a buy in both broker forecasts? Thanks Callum. | callumross
14/9/2010 13:17 | Thanks, Daz. That's probably it, just a random dip. It's not going to move like a mid-cap. 40p would be good, but I don't think it'll get there. I'll join you, buying, if it does. :-) | ed 123
14/9/2010 12:40 | I think it's just thinly traded, so a few trades can move the price either way, will certainly be interested if it gets somewhere near 40p again. | daz
14/9/2010 11:17 | The recent trading statement was positive, and was followed by an announcement of more contract wins. So, why then, has the share price dived? Anyone out there know anything? TIA | ed 123
17/7/2010 08:50 | I've been in for quite a while. Company has performed well but the share price has been a dud. Chart looks interesting now with a second reverse head and shoulder beginning to form (hardly a major surprise really). Should do well from this level. | ygor705
15/7/2010 11:21 | Working for me as well thorpematt, keep it going! :) | daz
15/7/2010 10:07 | YES! - My strategy is working - I'll keep watching... | thorpematt
15/7/2010 07:57 | Another contract win today for £1.4m but the best bit was at the end of the announcement "...We have seen a significant upturn in enquiries across all our key customer markets and geographical territories and we continue to work closely with these prospects in an effort to convert these opportunities into orders during this financial year." Estimates are looking far too light and upgrades can be expected. | daz
13/7/2010 20:17 | LOL - you and me both THORPEMATT. No need to post the news link - it's in the header section entitled 'News'. | lord gnome
13/7/2010 19:27 | Here's what we'll do. I'll keep watching it but not buy any - that way it's guaranteed to keep going up. you gotta post the RNS links tho' 'cos lots of people too lazy to find it:- | thorpematt |
