You need to ask, why would they have gone so quiet?

Could be for a few reasons, I'm banking on it being that they are in discussions or agreeing a deal on a farm out.

been 2 months now...

"The Company is now focussed on attracting industry partners in order to ultimately fund the drilling of one or more wells on its two production licences in the Southern North Sea.

The farm-out process has now formally commenced and the data room has been opened. While at an early stage, the Company has so far had an encouraging response from a number of potential farm-in partners. "

Good morning

700,000 trade at 2.95p yesterday well after the close (18:21 hours).
A buy imho in which case probably explains why smaller earlier PI sells did not
drive the share price down

Should be a new warning with shares these days, that share prices can rise as well as fall and you could make a fortune!

Range bound until news by the looks of things, frustrating but it is what it is :-/

Good morning all

No news tends to lead to sells so MMs mark the share price down - at least tha tis what I would do if I was an mm (heaven forbid!)..
News soon though I should have thought - April or sooner even?

So the city wants us to believe that there were 700,000 sells yesterday and not a single buy 😂

Back in here after a sebatical, just know that Algy will get a deal over the line. A case of when, not if so will accumulate down to 2.5 if others get bored.

A few of the trades look like that, being flipped into an isa, using up this years allowance before it expires.

Therealdeal...wouldnt they just do a bed an isa?

Could be people selling shares and buying back into ISA account! Makes sense to me before the next tax year!

Large trades both ways (occurring again this pm) are I assume healthy enough for longer term holders.

IRG Independent Resourses has indeed a M/Cap of some £10m but Cluff is about the same. The difference is management and being in the right place at the right time so my money is on Cluff.......its a clean business!

SOU Sound Energy is a business with a M/Cap of £500m so how you can compare this with the other two I am not sure,,,,,,,,,,,,,,perhaps you could enlighten us please. In any case there is no logic in SOU and Cluff talking as the both operate in different ways.

Per cents and management (see TRD last post) will be a sticking point = Cluff v Farm in Partner and it would be interesting to know just what is going on.

I see IRG has overtaken us by some margin on the Mkt Cap, may be we should get some tenuous link to SOU ;-)

Kristini, interesting, thank you, I'll have a look at that.

click, any losses can be offset against gains, i used share losses of £100k+ to offset gains on BTLs in the past to reduce limit CGT liability

Percentages will be the sticking point! That's the bit that will take some agreement, and if they give us cash what amount? And how many drills will they do? All takes heavy negotiations

Possibly a large seller still going strong or possibly some holders too impatient.
Still so far at least recent share price gains are being held.

I think that they will be in discussion first to establish a strategy. When that is done depending on how advantageous it is, then it's likely there will be a response from the market.

This latest budget news seems to of had no affect on the North Sea oil companies share prices! What does it take and what do they want for these to rise? When they announced the tax hikes it made the North Sea companies fall fast enough!
