22/10/2018 10:37 | Hi Jane. How would you define a legacy field? Would that be a field that is further down the line to development? On Tano 2a, we already have existing seismic which has been re-processed and re-analysed. | the sage

22/10/2018 09:26 | Their licence was never ratified, without ratification then they couldn't legally begin work. They had an agreement, but it didn't go through parliament and it wasn't ratified. That's why they couldn't begin work. The disputes afterwards were because other companies were given coordinates that matched the coordinates that they had been given. The new situation is that the coordinates have now been agreed. It might be that the coordinates have changed slightly, to an adjacent site, but I don't know until the news is released. Only then once the licence is approved in parliament is when they have three years to spud a well, and two years more to spud a second well, and two further years to spud a third well. Only when ratification is passed can they enter into JVs, or raise funds to drill. If, as I think, they've been given a licence with legacy fields then I predict a huge re-rate. | janestone
22/10/2018 09:22 | pippi, penner wrong again The Minister said blocks numbered two, three and four were what would be bided for, while blocks five and six were in deep waters and !! block one would be reserved for the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC)."!! ...to explore in partnership with its chosen strategic partner with the view to developing its technical capacity and becoming an Operator." ...and now guess who this partner is... As I said: exciting times ahead. | flyhi
22/10/2018 09:10 | First winning bid announce Q4 2019, why does the arch deceiver attempt to bury this fact ... | lippe
22/10/2018 08:52 | You think that helps ? "“The Ministry of Energy will engage with the operators, after the review, on the adoption of best methods for increasing oil recovery rate. For petroleum agreements that are dormant, the ministry will encourage the operators to consider inviting stronger partners to join them or risk the termination of these petroleum agreements should they persist in failing to meet their minimum work obligations,” Clon/PET have done nothing with their "agreements" in years so they already are in the frame for termination.... Does that not sound fair ? Welcome to the real world - it is not fair.... Even if not already terminated - they have no money to activate the exploration so ... termination would follow anyway.... | fenners66
