Hi PJ :

Seems to have been credited to my ii accounts on Wed 8 th. Diferent amounts per share in the 2 different accounts. Thought I'd gone for max cash in both accounts, but can't fully remember. Now have got to the the small holdings in GXO...

Regards

Geoff

Cheers,

Sunday Times' Business section says they are in talks with a potential bidder.

Any views on the likelihood of this going ahead and the oening rice tomorrow ?

They are poor payers for drivers so maybe that is what is driving it down.lol driving.

I did go short in the end - thought it was worth it even with a likely area of support at 600. Someone has to be losing drivers to sectors where passing on the cost is easy.

For sure. In any case there are certainly no eager buyers getting in the way of the eager sellers.

hpcg___maybe some customers don’t want to pay and could be bargaining hard.

Page 15 of the annual report says that 93% of UK logistics contract are open book, so they ought to be able to pass higher driver costs on to customers that want to pay. So not a short for me as things might not be so bad.

I must admit I sold on the chart turn some while back. Someone has to be suffering from a driver shortage and I would have thought a competitive tenderer might be one of those. It had had a very good run too, so I didn't mind taking profits. I haven't shorted though, but it has to be a consideration.

Looks a bit pricey now (PE 38) and looking at their June forecasts for FY21 they've marginally missed EBIT and Rev but eps is down 8%. So although they now say they expect to be inline for FY22 and FY23, what's the likelihood of a similar miss?FY22 eps 28.3p (up 5%) is a forward PE of 28FY23 eps 31.8p (up 12% - in June they stated a mid single digit increase in EBIT so would question a 12% uplift in eps) is a forward PE of 26.
