No longer invested here after 8 yrs . I got out last month . Its interesting that villa has never been pursued for the mess here . Outbof interest anybody know what happened to the african hotels where invetors were duped . I recall villa investing additional monies about two weeks before a fraud was found .

Well done on accepting you were wrong, Knigel.Who are the new personnel though? They only appear to have one employee: the Prof. If that is who you are referring to, then sorry he is not new - he is part of the overall disastrous track record of this poorly managed business. He left for a few years after presiding over massive destruction in shareholder value, to give a mate an opportunity. That mate presided over a further massive destruction in shareholder value after which the Prof has returned. The fact that the Prof in a recent interview put so much blame on his predecessors choice of going into leisure as his principal reason for leaving is both ridiculous and worrying. He is clearly not owning his own role and failures and that level of self-deception would indicate that the wool is quite likely being pulled over shareholders eyes too.If you read Luke Johnson's piece in the Sunday Times each week then you get a picture of just how bad the corporate culture is at CLP. He was a director for a while, bought shares and then left very abruptly. He has, every so often talked in his article about how he has got it wrong with certain investments. His damning of Italians and the lies they spin in one piece was particularly pertinent.

Hands up - called it wrong yesterday so no more predictions from me.
As for the track record comment - we should remember that for a year or so we have had some new personnel working for CLP - and measures have included buying back some debt at a sharp discount.
I understand why it may take some time for some to forgive the company for past events - lets see what happens now but still holding.

Nick, true and they drag every court case out for years.
It explains why the country is in such a mess

The Land was always going to be in CLP's hands anyway, just seems a pointless administration process IMO. Italians for you.

I can only go by past record. The company has a first charge through its 2017 ltd subsidiary but it is still subject to the ruling of the bankruptcy court. The use of the 2017 ltd vehicle may well be appealed against if it means that other creditors (and there are many) end up out of pocket as a result. The Italian court system may in turn overrule the establishment of 2017 Ltd as the owner of the first charge. For that reason I suggest that plan B is not guaranteed to work.Anyway - I am no seer. I just feel that shareholders- as always with this company - are being given selective news by the directors.

Can you tell the future? Well you have a 50% chance of being right.
Why would the first charge fail - has it not just been CONFIRMED?
My prediction - for what's it worth - is 0.8p as the first charge element is seen as more positive than another appear rejection (Italian High Court here we come?)

So plan A is now definitely a no-go.Plan B under way to get first charge on the property assigned to Clear Leisure 2017 ltd.If that fails - and it may well do - the first charge is retained to the existing debt ridden company and - guess what....shareholders get nothing.

I'm not a fan of the Crypto stuff, but Bitcoin is bouncing right up again, so I may end up pleasantly if not bemusingly surprised via CLP's crypto mining IPO ambitions if they can get there successfully.

Market will likely jump all over this on Mediapolis resolution news and details of moving the planning forward, and hopefully hold it's gain. Maybe the last placing didn't help but it was a real solid placing taken up by real investors.

Should be news on the appeal later this month - might finally get the share price moving back up!
