08/11/2022 11:27 | Nov 1, 2022 Mr. Friedland’s June 2022 exclusive, long-form keynote discussion at the Bank of America’s Commodity. Mr. Friedland commented: “The supply-demand landscape for the copper market remains extremely clear despite any short-term market fluctuations and policy-driven demand destruction. Kamoa-Kakula will be an integral part of the supply solution, but we will need astronomically higher global copper production to solve the ongoing energy crisis and complete the vital transition to green energy.” | the count of monte_cristo

08/11/2022 09:56 | White You will see from below that your blaming management is unjustified. That poster on ADVFN doesn't know what he is talking about. It is very common for shares to get listed in the German exchanges by third parties such as brokers there, without the companies involvement. A US OTC listing has to be applied for by the company as it involves a due diligence process. I know, because I did one recently. | klosters65

05/11/2022 09:33 | COMC, I believe the recent rise in the yuan lithium price is mainly due to the fall in the yuan to the dollar. Do you have that chart in US$ ? | horneblower
03/11/2022 11:20 | Interesting, but not surprising. Canada’s government ordered three Chinese firms on Wednesday to divest their investments in Canadian critical minerals companies on grounds of national security.... | the count of monte_cristo
03/11/2022 09:33 | Nobody was really that interested in lithium until just a few years ago. It was abundant, for the needs of the then tech demands and nobody really considered it that worthwhile to spend billions to find significantly better ways of extracting lithium. Then, came Tesla and the EV's and a massive uptick in demand which has had a knock on effect with game changing ramifications on the ways to get lithium, key amongst this is the DLE. It's not clear now, but looking back in the rear view mirror a few years from now it will be. Just like how the oil industry exponentially developed new drilling, piping, storage and extraction efficiencies with leading chemists, so to will lithium and the Chinese are leading the way in this. The Americans controlled the oil, so the Chinese had no other option than to diversify their energy needs whilst at the same time leading the world in the energy transition and greening their economy. The Europeans are weak because they don't have the scale and the countries bicker amongst themselves and don't really have a long term strategy. Recent movements have started to strengthen this, mainly led by the car companies because they are actually fighting for their lives right now. Again, by the end of the decade it will be crystal clear that back in the early 2020s the European auto industry, once dominate, lost significant ground and market share to the Chinese. The Germans have been selling their best robotics tech to China for years:) Meanwhile, one can play this scenario out through investing in companies like CTL. The graphite companies are also of interest, get on a plane to East Africa and you will see that the Chinese companies are very active in the graphite sector to try and sew this up before the Americans and Europeans wake up to it. But it's not so obvious for a UK investor worrying about his/her house price or pension and therefore curtailing some of his/her funds which may otherwise have been invested in these future orientated companies. | the count of monte_cristo
03/11/2022 00:43 | Current salient points for investors in lithium shares: 1) Lithium is abundant but to be used in batteries needs to be mined from hard rock, pulverised and separated from other minerals or processed messily from brines and needs five years at least to prove up, analyse content, overcome problems of pollution, get permits, define the optimum process for removing by products, attract finance through feasibility reports, plan the plant required, order install and startup with take-off agreements. 2) Meanwhile a current acute shortage has been driven by EV start ups in most automotive industrial centres. Evidence of this lies in the commodity market price charts. The price for Lithium carbonate in mid 2020 was only Y50k/T as EV production began but rose sharply by a factor of 10X to Y500K/T over the next 21 months until absorbed by demand in May 2022, retracing slightly to Y456,4k/T. The last three months has seen EV production demand outstrip supply again forcing a 25% further rise from the previous high to Y 572,500/T from the previous high during the three months since early August 2022. That steep resumption of a rising price does not suggest abatement any time soon. 3) It is not yet relevant that mines like Galan have huge quantities in the ground rock or brine. The supply is needed now and by the time Galan is delivering some 40 competing sources will also be doing so. In any case resources in Argentina and Australia are far worse positioned to strike take off agreements than ZNWD and EMH , both close to automotive clusters in Germany or Piedmont /Atlantic Lithium (ALL) in USA. 4)CTL's patented DLE (Direct lithium Extraction) process disposes of pollution problems and thus planning obstacles, does not need complex chemical processes to remove other minerals included and thereby has a substantially lower production cost, much shorter time to market and the pilot plant is planned to deliver ready by Q1 2023. Even with some slippage this company is ahead of the hordes of potential competitors (other than Livent). Furthermore McK | scrutable
02/11/2022 07:32 | Also, CTL has a very experienced management team. | axonic
02/11/2022 07:31 | There are so many positives with CTL using DLE; Very low impact on the environment and massive consideration for the indigenous community as no dwelling anywhere near, close to net zero carbon, the fact that solar power will be used making the process very cheap and clean water being reintroduced into the source. On top of that the world needs Li in bucket loads. No brainer in my opinion. | axonic
02/11/2022 06:57 | Galan Lithium (GLN) news out as well, moving ahead with their DLE pilot plant. | the count of monte_cristo
02/11/2022 00:31 | Lake Resources currently up 9% (Market cap 1.5b AUD - 830m GBP) LKE proving up the DLE process, makes a mockery of what some of the posters have been saying recently about DLE, clearly they know nothing. Positive for CTL. | the count of monte_cristo |
