The market seems to be overlooking this excellent small cap software house. It is growing, making good profit and the market cap is less than the turnover.

Hi, Thanks for the info on forecasts. I also dont like the look of the balances sheet. I think the likes of BDI looks a better bet.

Their Broker Williams de Broe were looking for doubled pretax of 800,000 stg. If you don't meet expections as a growth company you get hit for six by the City.

May have lots of potential but they ain't delivered its as simple as that.

Share price now reflects the reality, so don't expect any fireworks on this one for the next 12 months.

From the trading statement:

'......Group profits, despite being significantly above those of last year are likely to be below market expectations for the year to 31 March 2004.'

Does anyone know what 'market expectations' were for this year? (beats me why they cant include this informaiton in the RNS)

Look at the likely forward p/e and do not like the change in accounting policy re "Goodwill"
In the preparation of the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2003 the
Directors have reviewed the estimate of economic life and concluded that it is
now inappropriate.

"As a result, goodwill is now assumed to have an indefinite life and the accounts
therefore depart from the specific requirement of the Companies Act 1985
Schedule 4:21 to amortise goodwill over a finite life in order to give a true
and fair view. This departure is in compliance with FRS 10. Goodwill is now
subject to an impairment review annually and whenever events or changes in
circumstances indicate that the carrying value may not be recoverable."

Too subjective imo..
gives the Directors too much latitude and how is impairment to be judged?

Expect another rise soon. It seems to be the norm of late that there is a week or two delay period with stocks that have given good news before they take off again. Dunno why but certainly doesn't seem to be wholly down to T-traders these days.
Just remember these are cheap at the mo'.

Looked at WSI. I make it a PE of 46. They've included the profit on disposal in profit from ordinary activities. See my post on that BB.
