Perhaps rise prompted by encouraging results from Carluccio's (CARL) today? Latter have debt free structure which helps in these trying times. CPH results eagerly awaited tomorrow.

I believe figs should be robust, 241 deal seems to be helping. Hopefully cost of sales / goods being kept under control ..but will have a neg financial effect.

Was at the Covent Garden restaurant last night, only in there between 6.30pm and about 8pm but they had people queuing out of the door for most of that time. Not bad for a Tuesday evening. Admittedly many were probably on 2 for 1 offer but that's only on the mains. It will be interesting to see how that has affected margins. I should imagine it's helping turnover. Looking forward to the results in a few weeks to get some clarity and perhaps some vague forward looking statement. Good to see we are just one short of 50 GBKs in the UK. Interesting to hear how they think the two restaurants in Westfield will fair and if there is any further news on Spittalfields.

FT markets comment today suggest that 5% has changed hands, Capricorn being the likely candidate - that would take them up to just under 30%. Expect an RNS shortly......

Capricorns 25% holding must be at an ave. well over x2 current share price Probably even 3x. Surprised hey haven't gone for it at the current share price levels. However from the major shareholders list, looks like 80% is heldby institutions and directors etc.

LOL. Walked past my local GBK this lunchtime, was full....as per usual.

Don't matter what the price falls to, they're doing a brisk trade.

£50-a-head poncy nosh is a luxury in a downturn....a £7 burger aint.

LOL!
