Morning,

we should also get an update regarding the tailings...

11th Jan

At the La Parrilla tailings project pilot plan testing is currently being undertaken from which the final results will enable Caspian to define and optimise the industrial process for the treatment of the tailings and confirm the final industrial plant design and layout

6th Feb

Design of the tailings production facility is also progressing and technical design is approaching finalisation.

Evening chaps - the BOD indeed loaded up at close to these levels - The cashflow for tungsten from the tailings should enable this to move up a gear - BOD hold most of the equity and not a significant free float -

Having said that - Tungsten is indeed at $450 per tonne and its looks like a very good project in the making -

totally agree bobby..... remember looking @ the company previously and didnt see any attraction what so ever in taking a position but now it's a diff play altogether.

Hi euclid,

Tungsten is c$450 per tonne, so with 36mt that equates to $16.2 billion ?? Plus 2.5 mt of tailings. Obv these are gross figures.

Your correct in stating drilling commenced in Jan but as bobby has said news will be "progressively" over 4months as they are drilling 5 holes.

First drill hole was @ 211m last Monday, so they should be @ TD now and an update hopefully this week.

Presume they then announce 2nd drill hole commenced and first drill hole of to labs for sampling with grades out in nr future

I purchased some more today just in case we should get the first drill results on Monday, though I expect it to be later. I don't think that the magnitude of what we could have here has struck home yet with many. I am also in WLFE, in Devon with a similar project, as they too have a biggie. If the price of tungsten stays up these two should do very well. More finance required for both companies, but the tailings should help CSH and the grades might be better here too - depends on results of further drilling, in progress, and also ease of mining and costs of getting the stuff out of the ground.

No doubt all will be revealed in time, but the market cap is miles away at the moment from what we could have here. There are some good links on the WLFE board if you need to investigate a bit more about tungsten; I'm hoping that CSH will follow suit, but the company has only recently started this project - not even on their web site yet, but imagine it will come.

Bought in this morning...

candlesticks suggest its bottomed out and white candlestick in place as of yesterday...

Drilling commenced 11th Jan - Mon 6th Feb

The company were @ 211m targeting 250m total in this first hole., c26days into drilling.

211 / 26 = c8m per day.

39m remaining

39 / 8 =

c5days to complete the first hole from Monday, so end of play today.

Potential RNS next week

.......................................

I think it's interesting they state .....

"During the programme, which will run for the next 4 months, a total of 5 holes will be drilled targeting HIGHER GRADE intersections in the edge of the orebody, on which drilling results will be reported progressively.

"The drilling is targeted in an open zone to the west of the existing mine pit.

Hole HR-04, drilled in early 2008, intersected 55.20m, from 150.90m to 206.10m, at 0.73% WO3 in a section with several greissenised granite fingers. "

.............................................

So their targeting high grade intersections & from an area they previously intersected 55m....

..........................................

Yet we know.........

"Approximately 90m of the sections drilled to date are mineralized."

and if their HIGHER GRADE !!

.................................

Follow the money...

I'm following the BOD who have filled their boots recently !!

Caspian (AIM:CSH) announces that it has entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement to acquire Iberian Resources Spain (IRS)

IRS' La Parrilla Project comprises100% ownership of the La Parrilla Tungsten tailings deposit and an option to acquire the La Parrillia open pit Tungsten mine

The La Parrilla tungsten tailings deposit is estimated to contain 2.5 million tonnes of existing tailings from previous mining operations (the Tailings Project) and the objective is to put this tailings deposit into production in the next 12-18 months

The La Parrilla open pit mine contains an estimated 36 million tonnes of Tungsten ore and the objective is to complete extension exploration drilling on the mine in the next 6 months with a view to exercise the acquisition option and develop the open pit mine

The price of tungsten has increased rapidly over the last 3 years by more than double.

The La Parrilla tailings deposit and tungsten mine development offer a low cost, high margin resource development opportunity for Caspian.

............................

Drilling Campaign Commences at La Parrilla Tungsten Project

Caspian (AIM:CSH), which completed the acquisition of Iberian Resources Spain ('IRS) in December 2011, has moved quickly to commence evaluation of the La Parrilla tungsten mine located in south west Spain.

Caspian has commenced a 1,500 metre diamond core drilling campaign to appraise extensions to the La Parrilla mine. During the programme, which will run for the next 4 months, a total of 5 holes will be drilled targeting higher grade intersections in the edge of the orebody, on which drilling results will be reported progressively.

The drilling is targeted in an open zone to the west of the existing mine pit. Hole HR-04, drilled in early 2008, intersected 55.20m, from 150.90m to 206.10m, at 0.73% WO3 in a section with several greissenised granite fingers

In the meantime drilling on the extension area continues with the first hole at 211m in the mineralized section and continuing to target depth of 250m.

Approximately 90m of the sections drilled to date are mineralized.

........................

Results from the first hole due anyday with 90m of the initial 211m containing mineralized section

.......................

BOD have invested heavily over recent months c£400k
