30/9/2020 16:50 | The announcement did say, "Based on director's valuation of GBP150 million under normalised trading conditions." So, not in the current circumstances. | alan@bj
30/9/2020 16:23 | Featured in today's Investor's Champion update - City Pub Group: results highlight struggles of sector. Management’s ‘implied net asset value’, based on their valuation of £150m, is approximately 132p per share. This compares to the current share price of 62p (market capitalisation £64m) and net asset value of £96.8m. We haven’t a clue how management arrived at such a high number in the current circumstances but hopefully they will be proved right. | energeticbacker
24/8/2020 08:46 | So where’s that serious price movement then? | alan@bj
03/8/2020 17:58 | Pfoleypp, if that's true, where's the RNS. Otherwise their holdings aren't at all significant. | ditchsid
02/8/2020 20:05 | Prepare for some serious movement in the share price. Both Stonegate, and Heineken International are building up stakes. Stonegate are preparing a 95p bid, but Heineken have the resources to go much higher. Shares are cheap at current levels and worth buying for a quick profit. I predict tat shares will double in the coming weeks. lets see. | pfoleypp
27/7/2020 11:02 | ditchsid I did not say they are false figures. I believe they are cash flow positive over the 3 weeks, that can easily be achieved. The point I am making is that it gives a misleading impression of the overall state the company. The only reason they can be CF+ is by deferring bills. If you apply all their overheads and operating expenses on an annual pro rata basis for those 3 weeks then they are obviously loss making. You cannot have 32 open pubs operating at vastly reduced capacity not just being profitable in themselves but being so profitable as to be compensating for 16 closed pubs with all of their associated fixed overheads and expenses. | jpsmithson
27/7/2020 10:46 | Have you never heard of accrual accounting? Why would they publish false figures? Read the RNS properly. | ditchsid
27/7/2020 10:23 | I find this AGM statement about being profitable and cash flow positive a bit misleading. In a 3 week snapshot you can make any company in the world cash flow positive, even Aston Martin. They have 32 of 48 pubs open and those that are open are operating at 63% of previous volumes. The only way that can be profitable is if they are not paying their bills, apart from wages. No pub company can have margins so astronomically high to make money consistently with those figures. | jpsmithson
23/7/2020 17:37 | Enterprise Inns (actually EiGroup) were taken over by Stonegate in March. | jeffian
23/7/2020 17:31 | Nope - where did you hear that? | alan@bj
23/7/2020 17:19 | Has anyone heard of the imminent takeover bid from Enterprise Inns ? - 95p ?? | pfoleypp
23/6/2020 13:59 | Pubs will reopen on 4 July under new plans announced by Prime Minister "Pub goers can enjoy freshly pulled pints in pubs again next month in England and Northern Ireland. But with the virus still present in the community, strict safety measures will be in place." | turbocharge
22/6/2020 09:22 | "...there remains room for upside during this recovery" continues to hold true as evidenced by today's surge in the share price :) | turbocharge
15/6/2020 17:21 | Investors Chronicle view:- Given the current backdrop it is a relief that City Pub Group is not still pursuing its previously rapid expansion rate, while the largely freehold nature of its estate will limit its exposure to the landlord pressure suffered by peers. A relaxation of the government’s planned two-metre social distancing plan would multiply the group’s capacity and could spark life into the shares, and we think there remains room for upside during this recovery. Buy. | alan@bj
12/6/2020 11:03 | I agree. Results looked fine to me. We just need to be patient. | alan@bj

01/6/2020 15:49 | lindowcross: "I predict CPC will settle down this time next year at about 1.90p" As we're forcasting. I predict the share price will settle down around 140-150 within 3-4 months. | turbocharge |
