29/8/2004 12:36 | Interesting piece in the Sunday Times business section about the massive growth in financial investigations: In the paper version (not repeated online) they list the "Leading London Investigators", one of which is Argen which the ST describes as "owned by Capital Group". Capcon Argen is, of course, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capcon Holdings. Anyway, anything which highlights the growth prospects and raises the profile of this type of business is likely to be helpful to CPC in the longer term. Regards, Ian | jeffian
17/8/2004 14:07 | I suspect, puku, that it takes a few people to trade some shares! There is next to no volume. I hold for the long term; good sustainable results will win through eventually. Regards, Ian | jeffian
17/8/2004 11:46 | great interim but price flat lines, what does it take !!?? | puku
01/7/2004 22:37 | agreed Ian, very small cap but potential is there. I didnt realise there were so few shares in circulation, making it very illiquid. This is by far my largest holding now-pumped my asos profits into it. Nice divi but most def. a long term hold. what else u into? | le turk
01/7/2004 20:02 | As a very small cap on AIM, I think it's off most people's radar screen, le turk. Sound trading performance makes it a long-term hold IMHO with some excitement from acquisitions if they can find the right thing at the right price. Regards, Ian | jeffian
01/7/2004 18:04 | some decent trades since results, could do with some movement up though. | le turk

12/12/2003 00:15 | Thanks for that Nurdin, good analysis. | crimeprotection
11/12/2003 15:10 | Have had a good look at the results and they do look very good. The only fly in the ointment is that the gearing has risen to circa 32% which in the companys own words will preclude further borrowing for acquistion purposes..Given that they are are looking for a suitable bolt on acquisitions I read it to mean that there will be a cash call from investors down the road...apart from that the company seems to be delivering on their plans... | nurdin
11/12/2003 12:58 | Excellent results, no interest! | crimeprotection
11/12/2003 00:05 | The dawn. Guaranteed. Ian | jeffian

02/8/2002 14:03 | From Sharecast IC tips Capcon, AIM-listed audit and stock-taking group, at 68p. The company has a strong and ambitious management team that is expected to push forward with acquisitions to create a much larger group, so investors should take note, says the IC. Audit and stock-taking are the most significant operation and its contracts tend to be long term, so with every new one, the company increases market share. Organic growth of 5% a year is achievable. Capcon also carries out commercial investigations, a massively fragmented market, and it plans to buy rivals in the £1m to £1.5m range. Saw 70% profit-hike in six months to March 30 with profits typically skewed to the second half. With a niche position and looking at consolidation, Capcon is worth a look. Buy. | djalan

13/6/2001 20:26 | Guess nobody knows anything, except of course the Eaglet Trust team who have snapped up about 6% of the shares. Just have to keep watching for news | morose |
