City of London (LSE: CLIG), a leading specialist asset management group offering a range of institutional and retail products investing in closed-end funds, announces that on 18 December 2020 the Company's Employee Benefit Trust purchased 31,500 ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of GBP4.20 per share. Following this purchase the Trust holds 1,342,304 ordinary shares in the Company representing 2.6% of the Company's issued capital, of which 678,120 (1.3% of the Company's issued capital) is held in custody for employees under the terms of the Employee Incentive Plan (EIP).
