Investment update

The Board of City of London Group PLC announces an update regarding one of its investments.

Following the announcements made last year about the deterioration of its business, Trade Finance Partners Limited ("TFPL") in which the Company had an investment, has been placed into administration. This does not affect the group's current financial position as the investment had already been written down to zero in COLG's 2016 statutory accounts. The group had no exposure to TFPL beyond its investment.
