No sustained payments from EGCP, so they were paid some but not regularly, but IFC still ok with waiving off the dues, with more available if needed.

At this rate we must have traded some part of their dues out , but are yet to be paid by ECGP.


If and when the EGPC do pay the large part of the dues , then we should see a hefty re rating of the share price

Turmoil in the markets today I expect.

This has always been a leaky ship , and the recent dumping of shares is confirmation that some have had enough , no value left for shareholders , so the BOD say , but will they do a deal to take it private to protect the gravy train.

Oil above $50 again.

Will have an RNS tomorrow, given 24 June is extension deadline. Question is, will there be anything new to say?

Plus end of year results need to be out within a week.

A bit academic, but the year end results are required to be delivered by 30 June.
Typical of COP to leave shareholders waiting for info, even though the reading may not be good.
This latest rush of buying has moved the share price very little, still less than 0.75p Maybe there is a little good news about IFC extending the determination but does not look like anything of great excitement otherwise the share price would rocket - based on the premise that any news would leak out.
Still it is good to look on the bright side of life :)

Yes L'curve ,
this is a leaky ship i feel , feel quite positive though as Egypt is making progress with IOC's dues.

Let hope we are in a much healthier situation than a month ago.I also expect IFC to give further waivers and generous leeway towards COP, stabilising the situation will help.

POO hovering at $50pbo is also helpful.

That sudden raft of buying could be a pointer - always felt news could leak.

In any case, we are due an update on/ahead of Friday.

just bought another 190k below mid price !!

PO is hovering at below $50 pbo, we are at least more stable in that area.

It's a massive difference in price and sentiment from $40 pbo and nearer to $50pbo.

There is massive investment in oil and gas going on in Egypt right now and that will evaporate if IOC's are not paid after a very long time the dues they are owed.
Shell stopped work and re negotiated their gas price, well commitment and the payment of their dues , I cannot see how they will be the only ones getting their money.
Next few days will be telling , I am hopeful the IFC will allow COP the time to trade / re negotiate their loan and debts, it would be foolish for an arm of world development bank to do otherwise in a emerging country in harsh times.
IMO, we will see positive movement up in the next few days.

No buying/ selling advice intended.

I suspect at least 1 MM is very keen to accumulate [possibly to fill an order]. Question is, with volume drying up, it may need some share price movement to shake/attract some sellers.

live online quotes suggest a strong buyer [s] in the background:

can sell upto 1m @. 72.1p; or upto 2.5m @ .70p

that's the strongest its been for a long time.

Agree Murunam2 and critically, I wonder how much we need to repay as part of redetermination. I'd be surprised if its more than 20% of loan [c $10m] based on previous industry examples.

Time will tell, but for those buying @ .5-.7p, this could prove a sage move.
