16/12/2019 07:12 | Another very large debt fuelled acquisition, can see the shorts really piling into this one, even if the financials of the transaction appear attractive. Increase in risk rising! | bookbroker

03/12/2019 09:03 | considering your 15-20% drop prediction went well, go for it | mratranslate
03/12/2019 08:40 | Now over £2.17, dead cat bounce ??? :) I'm considering a short back down to sub £2. | eastbourne1982
03/12/2019 08:36 | Their own snacks - now - haha - people have been doing this for decades. Cinema non box office revenues continue to increase with things like integrated coffee shops and a much better food offering than 10 or 20 years ago. Yes no control over the film slate - that's always been the case - good years and bad years. Does that mean it makes sense to short it in bad years and go long in good years? Maybe, some seem to think so. There is substantial trading viability in the market ahead of official trading statements like this one, so the share price has already largely priced in the current weak trading. In this case, maybe overdone it slightly. I think the most significant bear case is the popularity of streaming and how much this is/will cannibalise box office. We will see. Experiential vs convenience. Cinemas survived beta-max and DVD. | sammu
03/12/2019 08:19 | I am a long term holder. One drawback of the business is that they have no control over the quality or appeal of movies that are produced. They are at the mercy of what is available to screen. | capercaillie
03/12/2019 08:14 | Don’t think their problems going away, see a movie at Vue for a fiver, most people now take their own snacks to the cinema! | bookbroker
03/12/2019 08:07 | Yes, has held up very well indeed. | eastbourne1982
03/12/2019 08:07 | Results were not as bad as everyone was expecting. Will finish blue as institutional shorters will be closing. Hope 2bit mug retail shorters (like a couple on here) get severely burned. | smokybenchod
03/12/2019 08:06 | Maybe not as bad as the shorts were hoping. A crowded trade. | sammu
03/12/2019 08:05 | Share price seems to be holding up at the open. Famous last words...... | imranawan
03/12/2019 07:46 | A share price dropping like a stone mixed with a hefty load of debt is generally a toxic mix that can get out of hand. | eastbourne1982
03/12/2019 07:45 | Yes the debt is what puts me off buying, even if the price drops to £1.60. | eastbourne1982
03/12/2019 07:41 | 180p open, seems to be the debt levels that worry the shorts! | bookbroker
03/12/2019 07:40 | 15 - 20% plunge would be my guess. | eastbourne1982 |
