Taken a small starter position here this morning at 220p. Not confident enough to "back up the truck" but want to keep myself interested and involved. Fingers crossed that cinema bums on seats hold up reasonably.

The shorts over 0.5% are continually increasing and now stand at almost 10%

Whats the attraction to them? The debt? or maybe a consumer spending downturn?

It's always moved up and down with the quality of releases - and there's always good and bad years and world cups

Does anybody think that positive 3rdQ earnings calls from the likes of AMC and CNK, followed by a positive Nov trading update from CINE, would be sufficient to close out the shorts?

Surprised with the fall really considering the volume suggests a large buyer. Wouldn't be surprised to see a takeover offer considering the price weakness, and Global City hodling 27.99% only 2% away from mandatory takeover offer!

With 2.7m shares traded today, they may well have been buying again.
