john, no it doesn't . I was hoping to go to Picturehouse Central (which Cineworld does own) and is my favourite London cinema but the timing didn't fit so we had to walk up Shaftesbury Avenue to the Curzon.

All the target prices are way ahead of current prices, cineworld is cheap, but sthe stock has zero love at the mo. Could be regal shareholders liquidating?

Boss of Vue says he is in talks with Netflix about screening its films in British cinemas The boss of Vue says he is in talks with Netflix about screening its films in British cinemas. Tim Richards, the cinema chain's founder and chief executive, said showings of other movies produced by the streaming service in traditional theatres last year had paved the way for further releases. Oscar-winning director Alfonso Cuaron's Roma was screened in US cinemas last year, while the Cohen brothers' Western film The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs and thriller movie Bird Box, starring Sandra Bullock, were both given showings in the UK and US. It marked the first time Netflix had released content via traditional channels before putting it online. Richards, 59 said he expected more such screenings from the US group and rivals such as Amazon. He said: 'Cinemas are not a threat to streaming, or vice versa, they are complementary. One is home entertainment and the other is out-of-home entertainment.' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/markets/article-6629003/Boss-Vue-says-talks-Netflix-screening-films-British-cinemas.html

Good solid results and a bumper movie year ahead. US operation will add even more value. This company is an interesting proposition.

Market report.. Cineworld retreated as it posted a jump in full-year revenue on the back of strong US growth, but a dip in UK & Ireland revenue at constant currency. Great thing about this great news for the past year is that it was a MUCH lighter film year than 2019 will be - the future for 2019 includes Toy Story 4 / The Lion King / Avengers Endgame / Spider Man / Star WARS Ep 9 ... it will be a MUCH BIGGER year this year than last ... so this retrace is a beautiful buy in opportunity! Take it film lovers !

Tell me about it. Crazy isn’t it. I lost a load on Boohoo yesterday from brilliant results. They’ll come good but not the point really

Have u noticed unless a company produces out of this world results, the share fallls... Seems an intelligent strategy to short every reporting company. If they hit targets, they fall slightly. Miss by 10% and they get hammered. Over perform, and 3%uptick roughly.

Numis expects bumper year for Cineworld Numis is confident Cineworld (CINE) will end the year on a record high after a bumper box office year. Analyst Richard Stuber retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 421p on the stock as year-to-date US box office sales were up 10% and the UK was ‘broadly flat’. The shares were trading at 269p yesterday. ‘The cinema industry has experienced a record box office year-to-date,’ said Stuber. ‘Despite a challenging comparative in the final two weeks, we are confident the year will close out at a record high.’ He updated his model ahead of a trading update to ‘reflect latest exchange rate movements and cost of debt and look forward to its preliminary results when we expect updates on US strategy and synergies’. Stuber added that the shares looked ‘highly attractive on 7.6 times full-year 2019 enterprise value/earnings'. ‘We retain our "buy" recommendation based upon defensive top line, margin opportunities and its strong management team,’ he said. 'Cineworld draws strength from US business' The strength of Cineworld’s (CINE) US business has offset weakness in the UK and Europe and Peel Hunt believes equity growth of 15% is possible. Analyst Douglas Jack retained his ‘add’ recommendation and target price of 320p on the shares, which fell 5.8% to 279.6p yesterday. ‘Trading has remained strong in the US and management remains confident of fully achieving its synergy target from Regal,’ he said ‘For this year, these factors outweigh the impact of the UK and mainland Europe trading slightly behind as well as a rising cost of debt.’ He estimated that management plans to drive up earnings and reduce debt could ‘drive 15% annual growth in equity value prior to any additional revenue synergies that can be generated from Regal’.
