@Masarap

So CHL has given them 14 days to reply, if ROI fail to respond the tribunal will give them final notice to reply?

> Ben Bland who published (five days ago) an interview for the FT

I've been following Ben's articles too.

This was the one I found interesting:

In particular this sentence:

“He is not the guy who wants to come up with a grand plan, but [he is] a doer,” says Ray Farris, Asia strategist at Credit Suisse.

What do you value chl at present, if you look at the current scenario they have disputed assets, so without judgement what do you value CHL.

I really hope Rep of INDONESIA pay for the misery they have put chl holders for the last 5 years...

If ROI do not engage then I assume CHL submit on merits (post authenticity ruling) and also ask for rule 45 (2) to come into play.

There seem to be two possibilities here. Either ROI are indulging in delay tactics. Alternatively, in order for UK / ROI trade partnerships to move forward then President Widodo has instructed ROI not to engage any further with ICSID. The motivation being not to antagonise but merely to send a message to the UK Govt "we are no longer disputing the case and will let the arbitration run its course and determine an award."

Being actively awkward, engaging in time delaying tactics and violating a bilateral treaty aren't the actions of a nation that wants to enhance relations for inward investment and trade with the UK. So it's a puzzle regarding what ROI's game is.

It just needed one journalist to ask a question but unfortunately the press weren't interested. I may try sending an email to Ben Bland who published (five days ago) an interview for the FT he conducted with Jokowi.

Article 45

(2) If a party fails to appear or to present his case at any stage of the
proceedings the other party may request the Tribunal to deal with the
questions submitted to it and to render an award. Before rendering an
award, the Tribunal shall notify, and grant a period of grace to, the party
failing to appear or to present its case, unless it is satisfied that that party
does not intend to do so.

It clearly says in the header if somebody annoys you ,ignore or filter.
Most of us here wish to read research or researched opinions.
There are traders here too so some trader talk is normal.

It is not a personal battle ground and we are not interested in a page full of bickering.

Thankyou

Thanks bones (3239)

Good to see you are still here in among certain "factually challenged" posters. (Did somebody say "Malaysia".......?)

I view today's RNS as excellent news. Once the traders clear off and the dust settles CHL are now in a very strong position and it should start to reflect in the SP, as you say.

Value will come out in the end - it always does and once that happens there will be no stopping it.

what else can you teach us? Maybe a bit about angular velocity? Maybe escape velocity?

Common sense would lead roi to buying a stake in chl _IF_roi feel or know they have no case. 15% of a company currently valued at £35m would ease the pain for roi, considerably.

This is a weird situation where the guilty party are left a get out of jail card free, and as yet refusing to pick it up. There again do roi actually believe in all honesty, they will win.

Again?

Are you the elected cardinal on advfn?

You like to pose question and yet I have asked you a few times the same question.

and what if I am new on advfn? What this has to do with you? So you are trying to deride me, just because I am a new user?

If you are unhappy about a new user on advfn, then maybe you stop using advfn.

what's the relevance of your pathetic questions have to do with my persona? Do you get any bonus for highlighting my public profile?

Kudos NAV

No doubt some hedging bets following the placing. Suspect once they've finished this'll let rip. De-risked massively as FlyingC states it's fairly obvious.
