02/7/2007 16:30 | I agree with Riskblue, the share price is subject to market forces. There will be sellers who just need the cash, possibly because they want to invest in a hotel. This company could easily be valued at twice the price. If we buy for the long term we will be okay. I went to the AGM and was impressed by the company and directors; I think they can be trusted to grow the company. | ddahj
02/7/2007 15:27 | Fair comment blue. If as they say they are ahead of the same period last year, that'll do me fine. In for the long term. Been holding since 1999. | mistertibbs
29/6/2007 10:13 | I don't think the MM's are playing games MT, but simply trying to make a market in a low volume stock. For me the fundamentals are strong and the story hasn't changed so still a good long term bet. | riskblue
28/6/2007 14:10 | And I also believe after my small purchase this morning, mm s playing games. Look forward to tomorrow | mistertibbs
27/6/2007 11:22 | No idea DD but from what I've seen, it's all small sales and not much else. I presume the market is against us with the property sector being hit and we are the very people who are valuing such items but would have thought as business needs to keep a close eye on stock/property valuations at all times, this would've been going the other way. Only wish I had some spare to top up before the agm on Friday. I still think they use software as a bit of a loss leader to get other business, just my naive thoughts. share price down 1p first thing this morning with a small purchase of 113 shares so does that mean a big seller in the background or mms know of a constant seller. This happened at another small co. I am with, one client was offloading a lot of small batches of shares over time. Who knows. | mistertibbs
20/6/2007 12:18 | Anyone know why Christie shares continue to decline?. I was disappointed that the software group did not buy any of the Torex business but have no idea whether they even attempted to buy. So they have £10m cash and a loss making software company worth about £15m, and other businesses which the share price undervalues. | ddahj
11/4/2007 18:46 | Director selling and buying | mistertibbs
30/3/2007 15:52 | And on that basis alone, I must say vastly underrated. Software must be bringing something to the party? | mistertibbs
30/3/2007 10:12 | "In summary, professional business services and stock and inventory services together generated over #8.9 million operating profit and #11.6 million of Cash" thats 46p per share if there are 25 million shares. | ddahj
30/3/2007 08:27 | Well it was today, thank you Mr Rugg. Good results but once again the software division lets us down. Are they keeping this in anticipation of the future or does it help get other business , I wonder. Compare this with the results issued by cpc. Oh dear. my question regarding our investment in them still stands. Must think there is something worth buying over there. | mistertibbs
23/3/2007 15:09 | The company website says; "early April" | jodi17qad
20/3/2007 08:31 | Well we might find out on results day when they are released.30th I understand. | mistertibbs
19/3/2007 14:16 | I think Christie may have been writing down the value of their investment to reduce (profits) tax. I trust the Christie directors will buy the Capcon business at the right price or may now have won their business. Value of Capcon is £1m compared to Chritie t/o estimated at £90m, ie fairly small. | ddahj
16/3/2007 13:30 | Am I correct in saying we have increased our interest in capcon to 18%? Are ctg having thoughts of going full steam ahead this time? | mistertibbs
07/3/2007 10:03 | One of Mr Lee's portfolio, looks a sound addition to a diversified portfolio. Close watch for the moment. | hectorp
08/2/2007 11:18 | Moving on up - we should be seeing new highs as we approach the results imo | jakleeds
17/1/2007 11:33 | Nice reversal | jakleeds
15/1/2007 12:15 | Interesting thoughts cr. | mistertibbs
13/1/2007 16:49 | yep, illiquid is the cause imo. Did bother me a tad cos it was falling like there was a placing in the offing but looks like pure illiquidity to me. CR | cockneyrebel
13/1/2007 14:59 | I remember when John Lee first bought his shares as I was a holder as I am today. However on a portfolio update some months later, no holding in ctg was held as he sold for a profit, stating share price was up with events and he took profit. So he obviously bought back in at some point later. Typical politician attempting to show he's better than he truly is. Yes he is good, but don't take as much notice of him as I once did. So much for his tip some time ago with abbeycrest. Well, we all prone to errors. CR spot on about share price reaction to almost no sales. Seen it all before in this one. | mistertibbs
12/1/2007 12:48 | The share price is back to where it was before the profit "warning"! | ddahj
11/1/2007 13:27 | I think the overhang has cleared now. I got rid of about 5000 shares at 232p and the bid didnt move which suggests there are buyers in the market. I expect lots of delayed trades later to explain why it has proved resiliant. | nickcduk
11/1/2007 11:19 | If the share price drops people sell, if the share price rises buyers return. If the share is rated a buy there are sellers, if the share is rated sell the share price rises. Strange? | ddahj
10/1/2007 20:25 | yep, I think you're right - constant 10Ks hitting the price everytime buyers push it up. Pretty illiquid so it doesn't take much to hit it at times. CR | cockneyrebel
10/1/2007 19:05 | Looks like drip selling is being compounded by a seller who is dumping blocks of 10k shares at a time. Both sharp spikes lower today came about via 10k trades which were delayed. A little suprised that there are a lack of buyers following the recent trading statement and director buy at higher levels than today. I did my bit though by picking up stock at 217 and 224. Hopefully won't need to do the same tommorrow and that the large overhang gets cleared quickly. | nickcduk |
