£2 done then .....must say its been a great last three weeks for this stock.....no doubt it will come back under £2 a few times before its cracked.

I am not exactly sure why, but TBH I reckon we've some way to go up yet (alhough gradually and volatile).

We are not imune to takeover speculation either...

marching this up smartly today.....some big trades going on in the first hour and good vol yesterday.....you make your own minds up why....

a new 12 month high i believe......nice

so a rise today at last and some fair vol with the u.s closed as well @ 1.6 ml...some hefty trades going on & some director buys and sells ??

Not mega-confident but I think the results are too close for a big move downwards....

look to be closing the week with a red screen before me......a poor one for chld as well.....to much headwinds for the markets to make any headway at the moment so lets hope the euro's concerns clear up a little next week and the price can move forward again.......

anyone buying these dips ?

carnage everywhere today then.....nice to see this holding up very well.....i know it does not set the world alight on good days but it wont hemorrhage points when the going gets tough either.

CHLORIDE GROUP PLC

Not sure if its a strong enough statement to justify share price ... There's that cautionary tone and nothing ahead of expectations. All good for the long term , but not sure about the short



Interim Management Statement



Chloride Group PLC, a leading specialist provider of critical secure power solutions, today issued its Interim Management Statement for the period from 1 October 2009 to date.



Trading in the third quarter was in line with the Board's expectations.



The positive trend in order intake reported at the half year has been maintained through the quarter and we are pleased that there was further growth, at constant currency, in the order book.



Total sales, which benefited from favourable exchange rates, were solid with service revenues continuing to grow organically.



We continued to progress our strategy to build a more balanced international business through investments in higher growth potential markets. In the period, we strengthened our position in the Energy and Infrastructure sector with the acquisitions of Automatismes Energie Electroniques Systemes SAS ("AEES"), based in Lyon, France and Emergency Power Systems plc ("EPS") in the UK. AEES is a leading secure power supplier to the French and international energy markets. EPS has a market leading position in the rail and underground networks in the UK.



Cash generation was strong, partially offsetting the increase in debt commensurate with the strategic investments made in the period. The previously announced restructuring actions remain on track to deliver in line with expectations.



Whilst we remain cautious about the economic environment, we enter the final quarter with good order book coverage and a positive trend in order intake, which gives us confidence in the outturn for this financial year.



Commenting, Chief Executive Tim Cobbold said: "Trading in the first nine months has been in line with the Board's expectations, demonstrating the resilience of the business in a challenging market environment. Secure power remains an essential requirement for business continuity globally, underpinning our confidence in the long term growth characteristics of our markets."

u.s gdp figs giving the markets a nice lift.....

I took my profit a couple of weeks ago: I'm sorely tempted to buy in again before next Wed... decisions , decisions. Its been very quiet recently, no Emerson rumours, not much idication of any excitement to come. It suggests a "steady as she goes" set of results on Wed.... but I've been wrong before. Anyone got any strong views either way?

Very impressed that CHLD share price has not reacted on the downside to any dips in the general market the last few days - augers well.

I suspect the results will recieve a positive market reaction. (I was looking for a dip to open a spreadbet).

But no complaints, the chart is looking very nice and I think much more upside to come. Patience is the key with this one I think.

well that was a turbulent week at the end.....chld down 3 on the week.....very good imo.....an intraday high also seen 194....lets see if it can get them 3 points back on monday, and only 6 trading days left till the t/s

so a trading statement out on 3rd feb......be interesting to see what they say ect and what if any difference the recent acquisition is making to date....

time we moved off this 189.....been over a week now

190 close.....2 points up on the week.....not bad on a poor week generally....dow killed us in the pm.

no not for me sleveen........its a long term hold for me so i will ride the up and downs for months to come......emersons bank vaults must be filling up again after buying avocent recently so they may have another look in the near future.......
