I'm sure we'll get there shezza. It's always been my experience in business that the Chinese (whilst quite culturally different from us) are exceedingly hard working & very focussed on achieving 'targets'

Matt,

Cheers, Been invested here since 2012 and the communication gets worse year on year. Hopefully phase 2 is well on its way and near to completion, but lack of targets for the year and vague statements like below is very frustrating

shezza, The dates in the SRK Mine Plan were obviously derailed by the avalanche but, the timeline from Phase I to Phase II should still be valid.

We know there was a delay getting all the contractor crew back on site from China last year but, the company hired a private plane to get them there in August - that's a pretty good clue how much they wanted these folk to get back on site at Pakrut.

I suspect some/all of the poor PR is a cultural thing about 'face' … you don't tend to 'trumpet' things in that part of the world until you've got the finishing line, so to speak … achieving Phase II production is the real target here. We should hear about that at some point during H2 afaiac but, as to when exactly? I am not in possession of any more info than the next man .. I just go per the SRK report as that is the high level plan for the mine which is being adhered to as best they are able to do so.

@Matt,

Are you referring to the 2013 SRK document which states a date of 2016 for Phase II. There have been people on this board suggesting Phase II may be imminent, so I was just looking for statements from CNG that this is in progress, new timeframes etc, but can't seem to find anything.

I agree the CNG PR machine is woeful but, as for emailing the company, I doubt they will tell, and indeed shouldn't be, telling private investors sensitive information which should be in the public domain.

Keep up the good work by the way, your analysis is very informative.

Hi @Matt had a quick peek at the financials and website, thanks to your posts. A couple of questions - why has the resource statement not been updated on website since 2013?

Perhaps more importantly, why are admin expenses so high - $18m on $65m revenue = 28%! As a basic comparison, AAZ admin exp is $5m on $102m = 5%. I know AAZ may be exceptional but something does not quite add up, and there is no commentary on the level of expenses ...

Shezza, for whatever reasons, the company is not the most communicative about such matters.Suggest you try emailing the company and asking as well as reading the SRK report (in the thread header) to understand the likely timeline.

Having read the accounts recently can someone shed some light what the production targets are for this year. Internal targets are mentioned but I cannot find any actual target numbers.

Also, the ramp up of production, Phase II, has been mentioned quite a few times on this board but I cannot see any official mention of this ramp up in recent RNS'. Can someone point me to an RNS which mentions what this Phase II project actual is.

Thanks

If we crack, and then support the10p barrier, I see a dynamic shift in the companies valuation.Gold looks like firming a bottom at $1800, this and Phase 2 ramping production to full capacity.I cannot see a better place to be right now.

Another day at circa $1,000 Gross per ounce of Gold produced & another day closer to Phase II.
I often review the Pakrut mine photos … it's one helluva an achievement. to build that mine and processing and smelting operations in that location. I conclude quite an extraordinary achievement & really quite out of kilter with the reality of the situation, that the equity is only currently valued at £33m whilst many other explorer=only entities with Zero cashflow are valued multiples higher.
The latter seem to represent the unbridled enthusiasm of a 'the dream' whilst the former represents the entirely overlooked reality of actually running a steady-state producing mine. It's weird but, it won't persist.
You just to have spot the disconnect before the crowd does because 'the money' will always cotton on to the undervalued outlier at some point … just as the tumbledown wreck of a house in 'Millionaires Row' eventually sells for a staggering sum of money as the opportunity is spotted by someone with cash and some vision to redevelop it.

Im hoping it doesn't go just yet, as selfishly, I am waiting on hoping to take a little bit off the table at Dddd by September.

I shall add with profits from elsewhere, so hoping it doesn't fly too high just yet.

However, it shalln't stop me buying at a much higher price if the story unfolds as I am expecting.

Cheers

Am sure it will grow in size as we head towards September wanobi.
Seems like we're not quite ready yet to break past 8.75 so, maybe a few more days to gather the necessary energy. Usually just an intermediate hurdle between 7.5 & 10p
