That scenario is unlikely, because for Poly its a very cheap investment, allowing more work to determine the value of the assets CHF hold. With BoD representation it gives them the inside track, so whilst I believe they will bid for CHF, I suspect they will wait it out to determine the potential, and then bid before full potential can be realised, but as other posters suggest so much more for the share price to run before that, and even at 10 times today's sp, its a drop in the ocean for an acquirer if the assets prove to be decent, and every reason to believe that to be the case.

As mentioned previously having now secured over 22.5% this must be considered a friendly with CHF's board knowing the likely conclusion.

With 22.5% under their belt it derisks both CHF and Poly from hostiles, and it looks to be like CHF know their end game, with Poly being party to it.

So work out the shares required to get over a 50% vote, even with a ten fold increase from here, it could be a very lucrative take out for Poly, and mutually lucrative for shareholders.

I know to take full ownership it would require much more than 50% but I don't believe that would be a problem with what appears to be a very mutually beneficial arrangement.

Even if they do it will be more than 13p

My only fear is POLY will take us over far too cheaply.

This is unbelievably good news.

Not merely the £2.1m funding that takes us all the way to autumn 2021, or the nominated director who may be able to provide assistance from POLYMETAL in the form of resources and equipment, but mostly it puts us on the map, on the front page of investment news, and underlines the potential here.

Ok I would have preferred the company release the assay results and get the share price to 25p before letting POLYMETAL in, but as I said I think POLYMETAL have been working with us for some time under the cloak of a NDA.

This will be a hundred million dollar company in a matter of days in my opinion.

Just helped myself to another 50,000 at 13.1p . A gift going forward . Today’s news have derisked the future

Excellence. My view (may be wrong) is that Poly having invested and having board representation, already have an acquisition in mind, with Chesterfield happy to go along with it. All pending results, but even a ten fold rise here, if the results are good, makes it cheap for Poly, and good result for shareholders.

Looking like it'll settle around 11-12p.

Just keep mopping up shares at these low levels . Hopefully when the assay results come out we will see the massive upside much more clearly .

Will be interesting to see what Michael Walters says about it.

I hope that this will continue to re-rate in the next few days because in the scheme of things this is ridiculously undervalued.
May be if we had several hundred billion shares in issue and a big twitter following punters would be all over it.
Their loss.

The fact that they've chosen to put a person onto the board suggests that they have been working closely with CHF for some time. They know EXACTLY what we have, but as usual WE don't.

I suspect Poly have some idea of the early drill results as well. This is a buy up to the results which can't be far off

Polymetal will have seen the amt results, but we'll all get the drilling results.

With £7.4 billion valuation Polymetal as new quarter owner, I think all CHF's future funding requirements are now solved.

Anyone who set a sell order at 13p before going to work this morning is an absolute idiot!

Just hold, that's all we have to do!

It's not like a normal placing, Poly will be holding their shares so there will be no extra shares floating around, as Is usually the case. No chance of a pull back to those level in my opinion.

That was good timing for a change. Only bought a few yesterday and straight away news and 32% jump. Don't think it will last as too many shares been issued at 9p will drop back to 10/11p first then I will have a few more.

The fund raising and placing is a done deal, none for us little folk...and as for the assay results, we retail investors will see them after all other vested interests as usual.

POLYMETAL will have seen the assay results abd liked them, hence today's news.

I don't think it's all shareholders otherwise that's a rights issue isn't it? My reading is they will have been placed already. Hope I'm wrong obviously!

RNS point 2 - Chesterfield to raise an additional GBP400,000 via a private placement of 4.44m shares at 9p per share to new and existing investors in the company.
So we should get a chance - do they use PrimaryBid or???

They'll probably send the shares in the post...
